no belief other than you couldn't have your money in a bank, it might not be there when you want it.
Lots of bad things happened at the end of ww2, but hey you knew that right.

I was trying to keep it light and not mention reality. The 20th Century was, how could you say, "rather unkind" to the entire region.

Rudderless has just trebled the FHOG to 21k so now we'll see the sub $500k auctions going 10k higher. Nice one kev!

I used to think FHOG was too much effort for the reward, but for $21k I'd scam all sorts to collect it!
edit: hang about hang about - it's $21k only for new homes. $14k for everything else.

The payment under the first home buyers scheme will be doubled from $7000 to $14,000 and first home buyers who buy newly-constructed home will receive an extra $14,000 taking their total grant to $21,000.

It isn't fair is it for those of us who bought our first homes years before they introduced this? At least I got money for my first child...when we get around to claiming it anyway. Maybe I will do that now as my mod fund is drying up and I need money to complete my car.

I'm willing to bet you dinner at Jumbo Seafood next you're in Singapore that you didn't even live in the first property you purchased, so you wouldn't have qualified anyway

Doesn't the Rudd govt know that the best fiscal stimulous is cutting tax? Here is what you do Kev:
1. Reduce top marginal tax rate to 20% and reduce all the brackets below as well
2. Abolish luxury car tax but feel free to impose a luxury boat tax (I will never buy them anyway )
So there. I will vote for you in the next election if you do this Kev.

Shudup. Besides, I could always scam it with reduced cash rental that never gets reported as income.

hahahaha... so it's a case of, only a [email protected] can call another [email protected], a [email protected]?
okey dokey, I pay that and raise you twice. (although I love that photo!)
below is the link to the map of the small town in devon (UK) where every scottish slave was given the surname of his local lordship. Hence, my red haired, blue eyed scot background has the surname of some dead brit. Brit [email protected]! but it's cool that we have a village!

Oooh,... and quick google located this! Someone, somewhere has named a "session" after me:

and check this out.... someone got religion, (and dropped the 'a' from the middle of the name), it's even on "Jesus Lane"...!!!!

That said, I reckon you've missed the boat, I told you buy your stuff in AUD when the dollar was close to parity with the USD.

The BBS CKs on the GTI would cost us an extra AU$700 if we were buying now.

At least I get my own car when I want to turn one into a track car instead of borrowing mum's.
