holy hell the new VIP system is terrible.

prior to the change I had almost $50 in rewards available. last night I picked up the Liebherr, Gingerbread house, and Harry Potter advent calendar and could redeem a whopping $5 based on points.

The Mrs decided she really wanted a Lego train, so we opted for the Disney Station and train and picked it up on Saturday. They now have a member program in HK so I am not sure how it works but I did sign up. They also threw in 4 Disney Minifig Series 2 as a gift with the purchase.

It is very ****ty. I used it for the first time online and wasn’t happy. You should be able to choose any amount of points you want to use, just like when you used to do it in store. Having the preset amounts is annoying.

I think they starting to loose money

during the post-sale survey they send, I rated the VIP experience low for all aspects.

basically the only benefit for VIP is early release sets which isn't even that big of a deal.

I ended up ordering the Friends set from the Lego site... first time they've had it in stock since it first came out.
