I installed the unit and work as expected (mine is VW Jetta GLI 2007 and I did not needed to wire in pararell on Connector C and B)

      Parts I needed:
      1K0 858 069 M 1QB Trim
5K0 907 044 BT ZJU Climatronic Unit with Celcius, metric system in my country (5K0 907 044 CB ZJU with Heater button)
1K0 907 530 AD Can Gateway ('S' revision or later might work also)
3C8 937 049 AB Power Electrical Module (For compressor to work)

      Optional:
      1K0 907 659 Quality Sensor (optional)
      1K0 971 939 C Holder (optional)
      1J0 972 483 A Quality Sensor Conector (optional)
      000 979 009 E Quality Sensor Wire X2

      Climatronic Wiring
On A Connector (black) extract both; Pin 16 and Pin 20 and put Pin 16 on the place were Pin 20 was, leave the wire on Pin 20 loose (not connected to the harrnes) for later connect the Air Quality Sensor if needed.

If you have an older VW Model you will MIGHT need this wiring change ATTENTION: Please don´t quote me on this, I just really followed some threads on VWNAVI that mention this change. It did not applied in my case)
      Motors in parallel:
On C Connector (brown): Pin 7 connected to Pin 10 and Pin 8 connected to Pin 9
On B Connector (black): Pin 6 to Pin 7

Quality Sensor Wiring (OPTIONAL if you bought the module that handles it):
      On C Connector (black):
Pin 1 from Quality Sensor to Pin 20 (which we replaced by Pin 16 on Climatronic, remember?)
Pin 2 from Quality Sensor is Ground goes to Pin 19
Pin 3 from Quality Sensor to Pin 4 on Climatronic

YOU NEED TO MAKE THIS STEPS (My compressor did not work until I performed the 2 step):

First Step: Basic settings: hold button AC + button straight blowing (third button from left). You will see both buttons leds blinking one after another..let them run till they come to the normal status. Reference: http://www.my-gti.com/2513/volkswage...ostics-mark-vi

Second Step :Compresor Settings: Starting the engine and hold LONG-AC + heating rear window.Let it run till it comes to the normal status.

      Installed Product:

Thanks to lala30 and mogwai on the vwnavi forum.

      It looks awesome!

      Was it an expensive swap?

      Thanks,

I doubt this revision is necessary. But it is possible that CC module (3C8) is required. I am getting the mk6 Climatronic module just for testing, I am a metric guy, I do not want Fahrenheits , so it will be for sale.

Would this be as big of a PITA on the mkVI as it looks like it was in your blog for the mkV, because if not this Fahrenheit guy would be all over that swap.

Looks good though NorthernSky, liking how clean it looks on the screen

This is easy swap. I just prefer these nice little temperature displays in mk5.

Thank you so much Maloosheck, And where can I find these parts? I know that at VW Parts, but I think there might be cheaper options even these are OEM Parts.

The MSRP of these 4 parts is $1,300. Online vendors list them for approx. $1,000. If you are interested in these 3 modules, shot me a PM and I will let you know what can be done.

Interesting, I have just installed mk6 Climatronic panel in my Jetta and after a basic adaptation of the flap motors I did not have to do anything to turn on the ac compressor. It works just perfect! Few pictures after the break .

BTW I have US panel installed right now and the RNS shows Celsius temperature. So the configuration is done via something else, maybe cluster (mine is set to GB).

Of course I have a code for the air quality module, but that will be fixed as soon as I make the harness for the sensor.

That's awesome, great work Maloosheck! I just received the harness you sent me for the EU alarm siren, it looks pertty cool... Are you going to add a DIY of it an thread.

      Thanks you so much!

      Excellent

I agree about the Celcius is managed by the cluster, I have set to GB too, but that is ok were I live. Change the metrics on the cluster and see what happens since you have a Farenheit module right?

Did you have the same error code like this?

It seems all of us are getting this code if the car is pre 2007.

Just read in VW Performance that you can easily change from Celsius to Fahrenheit and vice versa doing the following the following procedure:

Start the car, and with the engine running, turn the fan on to any position. Press and hold both your Auto and your Eco buttons together until the settings swap themselves over.

      cheers to everyone,

      Beto

I did not have this code when I installed the Panel. I let my wife drive the car tomorrow and do the scan again.

What's more interesting I swapped the panels to EU version w/heater and I have two codes about the center vent motor. I have to recheck the wiring because I did not have these errors with the US version of the panel.
