Final pieces came in last night for my 1/16 WPL C24 kit. So all in all, here's, the options I bought for it:
Metal upgrade axles
Metal axle/diff housings
Metal servo and steering rod
Aluminum steering knuckles
2-speed transmission with larger motor and servo
10A ESC and FlySky GT3C receiver
Custom decals from MCIracing.ca
Still would like oil dampers at some point. But, I finally got to drive it around last night around the living room and up/over the dogs' beds. Transmission works great and much quicker with the larger motor. Can't wait to get it out in the yard with some better weather, to run and take photos

Kit form isn’t that bad either. But research shows they often discontinue a line and stop supporting it as well. But they have FWD, AWD, and RWD.
Most all these can run the Mini Z bodies but they are limited on the VW bodies from Kyosho. Also, the 1/24 scale static models are around 65-68mm wide. Wheelbases are adjustable.
I haven't posted in here in a while, but what the hell. I'm just putting the finishing touches on my Losi Baja Rey trophy truck.
Quick list of work:
Proline Yeti Score Raptor body, which necessitated shortening the wheel base about 15mm with SuperShafty Yeti trailing arms and custom upper links
Proline Power Stroke shocks, doubled up with the oem dampers in the rear
Savox 1258TG servo and aluminum horn
SSD aluminum front bulkhead and third member to permit the use of stronger pinion bearings
SSD Yeti driveshaft
Chinesium 2.2 Vanquish knock off bead lock wheels with stretched 1.9 Axial BFG KO2s and Crawler Innovations Deuces Wild foams
Custom dual spare mount
I also did up a matching body for my little guy's Associated SC28.

I do really like that tan. I like the Axial Method wheels too - if I were to do it over again, I would probably go that route. The aluminum wheels were a bit of a pain to sort out.
The truck flies. I'm pretty happy with the suspension setup. I'm still tweaking some of the software settings, but even that's pretty good at this point. The added weight really helps the suspension work. My buddy's mostly stock Baja is far more skittish through whoops and uneven ground.
It's now torn down to the chassis plate again to repair the damage. Against my better judgement, we were running in an open lot that had a bunch of construction debris. Ironically, I cruised over into a small grassy area to ease the bashing and ended up catching a protruding corner of a low concrete storm drain. Hit just left of center - sheared off both control arms on the left side, bent a couple of screws in the shock mount and cage and popped the body inside out on that corner. Luckily it popped right back with just a small crease along the body line on the hood.
Parts are on order, along with another body that I'm still mulling over a color/scheme for. Right now I'm leaning towards just doing the same layout as my current one, simply with non-metallic grey instead of blue. Who knows though, maybe I'll do a full race livery.

Both those trophy trucks look fantastic. I love how nice and fresh they look on the bench, then they get driven, which I also love. I have some great pictures of all my vehicles when they were new, I should do a side by side to see how thrashed they are now

If anyone is interested. The NQD ’Tear Into’ hulls are available from China again. These are possibly copies, but neat nonetheless. If you search Ali for “boats” there is another jet hull that looks like a go getter, too. Jet pumps can be had on the cheap and 3d printer ones are out there, too.
I have been considering getting the wheels you have but the offset is a concern. They look excellent but using the stock wheelbase on a Yeti body leaves zero room for less offset since it already rubs the trimmed fenders when braking.
Never been into shelf queens, here is how mine looks right now. A pillar is sheared on both sides and there are lots of cracks in other places.
Already working on the next body. Going to leave the side windows in place for A pillar strength but I wish I had masked the windshield, it would make more sense to leave the windshield and remove the side windows. Dunno what I was thinking. Doesn't matter anyway because the cage is too wide to fit this body without looking horrible, so I'm either going to buy a Yeti Score or make a metal cage for the Rey. Been wanting to do that forever but I cant justify the cost of a non-crap welding machine right now.
While I'm here, might as well share the truck that got me into this nonsense. Started as a $40 WPL C-24 as something fun to assemble after work. Then the speed bug bit, installed a brushless motor and upgraded every single part, even adding a JJRC Q60 body and Axial Yeti Score JR rear suspension for longer travel. $400 later it's still an unreliable and poor performer. Bought a Baja Rey and haven't turned it on since.

What is the front suspension on that WPL? I compared one I have to my Yeti Jr and it’s real close to fitting. I didn’t disassemble the WPL to see but did order that cab for less than $6. I believe I can make it fit the YJr quite easily.
