So on my way to school this morning (6:45 am) I'm driving on a busy highway around my area (309) and my tire blows out. It was due to camber wear that has since been corrected. So i pull over and think "damn, no prob i got my spare and a jack in the back"

I go to the back get my spare, but cant find my jack. It's gone, i have no idea where it went. So panic ensues. I call like 4 people and no one answers because none of my friends have gone back to school yet so they are all still asleep.

So I think really hard and have a macgyver moment. I see large rocks on the side of the highway, so i stack them up in a ramp fashion about 9-10 inches high and maybe a foot long. And i pull the car onto my ramp made of rocks. Then i find more rocks and shove them under the rocker. Then i get my ball pean and smash the rocks holding the wheel up. They crumble and the cars weigh falls on the rocks under my rocker. I change tire. Then take the ball pean and smash the remaining rocks under my rockers. car falls on the ground. I get to school 35 minutes late.

      the end.

oh and pics because it did happened:
this first pic is after i was almost done smashing all the rocks under the wheel and i though "oh i better get pics of this"

      Your Mcgyver instincts are good.

However, that tire looks like it was a flat waiting to happen, and to not have a jack, is major fail.

Guess I'm not seeing it; what was wrong with his tire that you guys are ripping on him for? I mean aside from being flat and all...just low profile or something?

      3 SPOKES!

I'm surprised that no-one has said that the rocks were probably safer than a widow-maker. Which, BTW, I have one that I will trade for a 6 pack of orange Gatorade.

Triple coverage - AAA, Insurance, and OnStar. I'll use my towing limit on all 3 if I have to but I can get towed a good distance for free.

Are you implying that people with mechanical skills do not need aaa? If so, I respectfully disagree.

I have mechanical skills, however my mechanical skills don't help me get my car towed when I need it. AAA Gold FTW

Why would I pay anything for a service that takes a half an hour to show up to do what I can do with my trusty tool kit and jack in five?

I even carry plugs so I can fix nails in my tires at gas station air machines.

Sockets, crescent wrench, flat and cross screwdrivers, flat repair kit, box cutter, flashlight, spool of bailing wire, duct tape, box of fuses with fuse tester, jack, tire iron, a few extra lugnuts.

I also carry the number of the local tow company T-REX towing $50 tows for up to 50 miles.
