Since I don't think that Cherry Bomb makes an OEM application for Mk 2 Golfs, some modification will be needed.

The mounting location is going to be different, you'll need a 1.75", (stock diameter I think), to a 2.5" step up piece, and since the cherry bomb is probably shorter or longer than the stock muffler, you'll need to shorten or extend the pipe between the resonator and the muffler.

This is why people pay for a direct fit system from TT or Eurosport, they sound and perform better, and are an easy upgrade especially if your welding/modifying/custom fabrication skills are at a minimum.

Not trying to be sarcastic here. What might be the best option for you is to pay someone to do it for you and teach you how to do in the process.

it is impossible. modifications to any vehicle are impossible. nothing ever unique or custom can ever be done.

You can, but I think the cherry bombs muffler bearings are a little different than the stock VW pieces. Some customization is surely in order.
