I'm DDing my corrado for the rest of the summer. this makes me happy because after a few years of barely using it, i'm actually using it as a car as opposed to driveway ornamentation .

due to the increased seat time, I'm starting to become aware of some age related items. Most I can figure out without difficulty.

the one thing that's pissing me off is the saggy drivers door. not sure what to do about that. anyone have a method to tighten that up again? no half measures, want it fixed for another 20 years.....

      thanks

remove the door and replace the hinge pins and half hinge, it has a bush and they all wear together, to remove it i used a ball joint splitter, i wouldnt waste your time with a hammer and punch,

both parts are still available from vw and arent expensive either,

your have to dent the bottom door skin in slightley to allow for the angle

the hinge pins only press out one way, one side is tapered and the other flat so obviously push out on the tapared side ,

      new pin and half hinge
