Yeah Marchand really is "a little ball of hate" - but he's our ball of hate......you'd love him on your team.

It was like Bill Lambier back in the 80's. Celtics fans would be all over him for being dirty but put in green and all would be right.....

That might have been the best game that Dougie Hamilton ever played for the Bruins.

Now that they don't have to thaw the ice anymore for the Celtics, I hope it will better for game two. They may as well have been playing with a ping pong ball last night.

Didn't realize they got rid of the ice for the Celtics games. I figured they just covered it in layers of material and then the parquet over it.

They have to thaw/dry otherwise the humidity would warp the parquet.

Weakest penalty calls EVAR! Did they just get these refs from a beer league game?

Canes allowed 5 goals in 4 games against Islanders.

11 goals in 2 games against the Bruins.

I can't believe the fan chant has actually gotten into his head.

I hope he doesn't get a game suspension for the cross check to the head of Heinen. It will be more of a punishment to leave him out there.

Don't get me wrong, Boston is destroying Carolina so far, however how Marchand can hook Williams around the neck and pull him down and Williams gets the only call I am not sure, plus the headlock up the ice...

On the subject of ice, here is an article about it from a few years ago, for information, but the process is not easy and the sheet will only be changed a few times over a season, so it is almost always just covered over for other events. They will probably only re-do it with long breaks like the All-Star or a lengthy road trip, if it is deemed necessary.

Original Six teams will always get the benefit of the doubt... And for whatever reason that skeevy little **** can do whatever he wants as long as it's not licking dudes.

He just did the same thing Williams did to Chara the first shift of the game(poke his shoulder) and Williams grabbed his stick trying to draw the penalty. Should have let go if he didn't want to fall.

If there is an ice show in town, they will replace the ice to eliminate the lines and to create a softer/warmer ice for the figure skaters. It takes about 48 hours to create a new sheet.

The Bruins look strong. I'm thinking they will win the cup. Would be satisfying if Marchand is in a wheelchair and eating through a straw during the presentation.

I'm not saying I want him to be permanently disabled. And I would never wish harm on a human being.

Well in that case as long as they help him raise the cup while he is in the wheelchair i would be comfortable with that (it still means the Bruins have won the cup so there's that)
