That diode is no longer available, used a paper clip instead, dropped my keys into cylinder 3. Any idea what to do about this?

Sorry to resurrect such an ancient thread but does anyone know if this is worth doing if you have a ColorMFA cluster? I just got mine but I haven't installed it yet.

I don't really know how the colormfa works but I imagine this would still work with that installed. It says that all the usual warnings are still displayed on there but this one was only in some Audi's so it may have been overlooked. I would just message the guy and ask.

I ended up posting on the ColorMFA forum after posting here, and it does look like it should work.

The leads me to another question. Will LED bulbs break the monitoring system and result in false positives? I have swapped almost all of my exterior bulbs with Sylvania ZEVO bulbs.

Yes, the bulbcheck relay measures the resistance of the circuit (within certain limits), so I doubt it will work properly
unless you put in the "CAN friendly" type with the extra resistors that fake the bulb resistance.
