Question. Why did vw make a car with power locks, but give you no button to controll them inside the car?or why an alarm system with no key fob to controll it? Did my passat originally have a key fob?? And lastly, what the hell is buzzing in my trunk after i lock it?looks like its behind the liner and wrapped in styrafoam, sounds and vibrates like a mmotor of some sort?opposite side of the gas tank fill. Cmon you dub geniousses, you got this.

Thats your central pump for your locking system. It usually pumps twice, once you lock the car and a second time after a few seconds to control the air preasure in the system. If yours keeps pumping....your system is leaking somewhere.

Quite the opposite: you CAN control the power locks from inside the car.

Imagine the B4 Passat as the guinea pig/red headed step child that everyone hates. If I ever find out who the lead designer was for this car... I will land a well placed swift kick to the nut sack.

Damn... here we go again. There's a reason I posted the search link, you know...

      Anyhow... here goes, once again...
You can "contoll" them using the pin on the drivers door. Yeah, I know it's not a button on the dash, what-fücking-ever.
And you can get a keyfob, which on your B4 is pretty straight forward... Here's a DIY:

      P.S. What is "classicos"?

Cool.sorry to piss you off, seems youre always pissed? My bad i guess.. the search hasnt told me how the locking system works, thus the reason i posted this.

Also,my car has random drops in power ( lighting, electrical, etc) while driving around.lights eventually brighten up and come back after a few mins.was thinking bad ground, but dont know where to start.anybody have this issue?
