Here's my 1980 Pioneer Syscom component stereo.

      The system consists of:
      - Pioneer SA-610 Amplifier
      - Pioneer CT-F615 Cassette deck
      - Pioneer TX-710 Digital Tuner
      - Pioneer DT-500 Timer
      - Pioneer HPM-100 4 Way speakers (200 watt versions)

      I'm also using:
      - 1986 Technics 1200 MK2 Turntable
      - 1985 Sony CDP-302 CD Player
      - Ikea Limhamn stainless steel shelf

My dad had a set of HPM-100s -- those are some serious speakers. Wish I could (1) find a good pair (2) had the room for a set.

I had that Rush album until the ex-wife decided to sell all my vinyl to a bunch of Jamaican migrant farm workers at a yard sale. She was so proud of herself getting $5 for all that music she didn't like. One of many reasons she's the exwife

Nice. I had a set of HPM 100's back in the day. They were very nice speakers for the money. Sold them to a buddy when I bought my Polk towers. I also had a late 70's Pioneer SX-650 like this.

Was over at a guy's garage last summer, and he had one out there for his garage tunes. It was in great shape!

My grandfather had that exact model, I think. I used to love making the tuning needle move from one end to the other with one spin.

I had a very bad habit of doing that with my old Sansui.

I have a pair of HPM-30's I need to get refoamed. Are those original stands for the 100's?

I still haven't seen a single Rush album used anywhere (not counting record stores). Beatles, Floyd, Zeppelin yes, Rush? Nope.

No, the stands are custom made for the speakers. They cost me more than I paid for the speakers, if you can believe !
Made of solid walnut wood, which is very expensive.

      Dimension:
      14.5" deep
      10" tall
      15.2" wide

Sweet. I'm tempted to make my own stands. With my JBL Horizons I"m using a pair of equally big Noresco speakers as speaker stands

Since we're on the topic of Pioneer, I picked up a CT-F8282 tape deck. Damn thing must weigh 30 lbs. So far it works great, sounds nice. Haven't recorded anything yet and needs a bit of a cleaning.

I still have all of my collection in a closet. I don't have a turntable but I still can't part with them. My cat found the corner of Moving Pictures tasty though...
