True, but I always thought APR gave a little more HP than traditional piggybacks could achieve.

It's definitely no 3.0 V6 with 350hp but it gets close
And with APR+ you can still have a warranty.

They've gave me a raise to $0.12/post in January of this year. You better send a PM to a moderator ASAP. You're going to starve at those numbers.

[edit] took S4 Avant because S5 Sportback is apparently not in the configurator at this time (it was before, though).
The residual and money factor he claimed were way off (probably from a good 6 months ago) so at one point he was accurate, but for today its not close. MSRP has changed slightly, as in September, AoA decided they would reprice 25000 cars on the ground, already in dealer inventories.

You guys with your low quality posts. They recognize quality when they see it. I get $1.00 per post.

I'd like some concrete comparison numbers of identical year S5 vs S4 rear entry heights. I'm not debating that the S5 is probably a bit lower than an S4, but more than an inch or two? And is an inch or two really that significant when it's already an inconvenience to bend over to reach in and unlatch an infant carrier or strap in to a rear-facing car seat? Methinks the difference is overblown, and the 5 is a vastly better profile with the added benefit of the rear hatch for loading/unloading bulky items.

Our concern is the trunk depth, really.
I believe the trunk volume numbers are similar (I'm seeing GTI being slightly larger??) but I'm just curious about the depth comparison and if that stroller would fit without her having to take the wheels off and play tetris in the GTI.
      Plus Alfa
I don't have enough time in a mk7 or stelvio to give a factual response. I just remember sitting in the back seat of the stelvio and feeling very cramped, more than I did in the gti. And opening the rear hatch and being disappointed. I still like the car, but it wasn't enough utility for what I wanted.

Unless I was getting the quadrofoglio, I would go for an sq5 or even a regular q5 over the stelvio if I needed more space than a golf. The stelvio drives better than the q5 but in normal, 95% of the time driving, it doesn't make a huge difference imo.

A tune on the A5 could be very appealing, but the S5 still has about 50hp even on a good tune. Also there's just the inherent smoothness of the V6 vs the buzziness and harshness of even the best 4 banger.

It's quite a bit of money more for the bigger engine. Nearly $12,000CDN more. Just to get an extra 100hp and some slightly nicer seats.

      Cars look pretty similar otherwise:

Now, what would be very interesting is whether we could find a pre-facelift (2019) RS5 for less than $68,000CDN or a current generation 971 Panamera (2017 - now) for less than $68,000CDN. Because either of those would beat out the 2020 S5 for $68,000 CDN.

3 years old w transferable warranty and/or CPO? Meh why not.

I just don’t think Hawk will like a Pana that’s even bigger than a Taycan on the car deck.

Yeah, but what if they give him a rental that's too big for his outdoor garage when the thing breaks?

Have you seen how huge the trunk of the Panamera is? And how huge the back seats are? There would be zero problem. It's way bigger than my current set-up.

I mean it competes with the S-Class.

It would make for an awesome family car.

      Really?
It is a decent flat area but kinda low. And if you want to keep a spare tire then almost all that space is occupied.

      Yes I have.
It was my first choice but would not fit my bike with front wheel off with the seats folded. (Fatbike with studded tires that shred interiors)

Which is why I bought my SQ5 - and like you, I hated luxobarge SUV’s but with the thing in dynamic mode 24/7 it’s less barge’y.

The Panamera is indeed insane, especially when tarted up.
I still half regret my decision, but need to transport bikes inside in winter, so here I am.
