I loved the Tumbler, but I'm glad that this one will be more... Batmobile-like

      via Worldcarfans
The director of the highly-anticipated Batman vs. Superman movie has released the first teaser image of the new Batmobile.

Set to be driven by Ben Affleck, the latest Batmobile appears to eschew the military styling of the Tumbler which was used in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. While we can't make out too many details, the image suggests the car will have a long hood, an open cockpit and massive rear tires.

Little else is known about the Batmobile but director Zac Snyder hinted "Could be time to pull the tarp...Tomorrow?"

The Batman vs Superman movie is set to be released on May 6th, 2016 and will feature Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg and the aforementioned Ben Affleck.

      2016? Damn.

DC can't keep up with the pace of Marvel's movie releases.

      The tumbler was the itsh.

It looks like they've taken Joel Schumacher's phallic, Dayglo-disaster, Batmobile from "Batman Forever" and folded in a little Tumbler butchness.

The Tumbler still does it for me.

Going to be difficult to do better than that. I can't wait to see if they can though.

Stabilizers hint toward something "military" once again, which is the right answer.

Bring back Tim Burton, please. For the love of all things dark.

Yeah, the Tumbler is badass. Second only to the Beatnik Bandit... I mean the George Barris/Adam West Batmobile.

      Tim Burton?

Dude. I like a lot of his movies, and even though superhero movies had never been better up to that time, they were completely eclipsed by the Dark Knight series.

Don't get me wrong, great movies and my only complaint is the far too hoarse Bale voice. Affleck doesn't desrve the mask though, even present day Adam West can act his way out of a wet paper bag.

Hmmmm, don't see how they can claim it WILL be an open cockpit. To me it doesn't look that way at all, also considering a track record of Batman cars.

      Batman Returns:

Looks like a closed cockpit to me (possibly a roll cage, but really wouldn't fit the "Batman". Always protect by some sort of cover):

I'm not sure what people's beef is with Affleck.

Let's face it, most of the screen time in all these movies are filled with CGI animation of the superhero characters and about a half hour of the actors without the suit on. What has Affleck done so wrong that the Internet can't stomach 35-40 minutes of him as Bruce Wayne?

I mean holy carp, Michael Keaton was the inaugural Bruce Wayne /Batman of this movie franchise!
Certainly, Affleck is more fitting for the role!

Back to cars, I did like the first Burton Batmobile. The tumbler was still the best!

FTFY, thing is that let's face it Ben had a chance for a hero type movie in the past and after the Dark Knight trilogy the bar has been set up really high. Also there has not been a good Superman movie since the one's from the 80's. How are you going to top Richard Pryor as a computer expert?

Back to the car; inside the wheels; are those jet exhausts?

      Touche

Batman Returns is first Batman I remember seeing, so didn't think of the older ones. Mistakes on me!

Also had this, but don't think the bike would count

Chris Evans previously played the Human Torch in the meh-inducing Fantastic Four movies, but is now playing Captain America in The Avengers and Captain America movies.

To keep it car-related, Cap rides a motorcycle .

And he also was in The Losers after Fantastic 4, but unlike Ben he was not as known as Ben when he did the first Captain Movie. Also you have to admit; Ben's Daredevil and the Fantastic 4 movies came out way before the Dark Knight trilogy. Also the current Superman movie is good but not as Marvel good.

And back to car's Daredevil could not drive.

Affleck is at his best playing a douchey frat type, i.e. his character in Mallrats.

Keaton wasn't physically imposing but he was delightfully offbeat and showed how detached and preoccupied Batman would have to be.
