my pops is still rocking his 1997 CRV 5 speed. He refuses to upgrade it because it just refuses to die... and he is in the mindset of no manual no care!

That Isuzu Stylus seems impressive for the period. 130hp from a 1.6 is close to what honda makes from its 1.5 in the current Fit, and only a bit less than BMW made from its 1.8 back then.

Why does this Q45 have a "push" to remove key (on ignition) on an automatic? Those gauges still look fresh today.

I just watched Motorweek.. this is their 35th anniversary year.
Somebody needs to make a compilation of all the pre-abs smokey sliding sideways brake tests. Wow.
But I am confused.. when did the replace the host with this black guy?

An uncharacteristic error on Motorweek's part.
For the 1986 model year, Mazda released the all new 323.
That must be an 84 or 85 GLC.
A base 5 speed sedan was my first car.- wow, 69 hp.
No wonder it was so dang slow.
But it was fun to shift and you just shifted when the engine stopped revving.. no need for a tachometer.
Mine handled just fine.. maybe the heavier LX had different spring/shocks?
Seriously- full car of friends and I would do handbrake 360s in empty parking lots.
      Car never broke.
      One seriously under-appreciated car.
Even Motorweek can!t get the model year right!

Having owned a 1990 240SX SE and driven a 1st gen Probe GT and Eclipse... I agree with this review.
The 240sx had the best chassis, but the Probe was a better car (something nobody would say now because the 240sx has such a cult following. But the pre DOHC 240sx cars are slow and uninteresting in stock form).
Eclipse in front drive turbo form was a great engine stuck in an econobox car not designed to handle the power.

My mom and dad scrounged together their money to send me to a private school for grade 6-8. Driving me every day in our either 1984 Audi 5000s or 1986 Jetta diesel. It was 1990 and my friends dad bought a brand new Imperial. He was such an ******* about it rubbing it in my face knowing my parents couldn't afford a new luxury car like that. This video makes me see red

Now I laugh knowing how much of a bucket they turned into fairly quickly
