WARNING: THIS IS A PEDANT-FREE ZONE.

This isn't a contest to show off how much you know about a given vehicle's country of manufacture/assembly/parts-sourcing. "Domestic V8" refers to V8s built for vehicles sold by U.S. manufacturers. Swaps are welcome (LSx RX-7s, E36s, etc.). Obscure applications are also welcome (i.e., you own a British car with a Ford V8 under the hood).

As long as it's powered by an American V8 and you own it, game on.

      Rule #1

This thread has potential if it doesn't turn into a google search, copy and paste fest.

Had this car for a few years, recently gave it to my dad when I bought my GTI.
Was a very reliable car, but it was such a boat.

I currently have a loaded '06 SLT XL (so no half wood steering wheel) I couldn't toss enough praise on it, it's been a great vehicle! It only gets 16-17mpg in the city though, that shoots way up on the highway and is actually better than our old 2.7T Audi was on road trips.

But alas it's a lowly 4.2 Inline 6 tractor motor, and "'murica only makes V8's." Guess that makes mine an Import.....

don't hate on that 6! I love it. can't believe they only used it on that truck..... IMHO, it's the perfect light duty general purpose engine....

Nope--just looks like it from far away. I had to take a closer look myself when I saw it in the parking lot.
