You mean the Jeep logo and all that to be white? Rabbit said the same thing, but I think I kinda like the chrome look of the lettering...

Ill go try to find some pictures of white lettering....

Just a little room for more rubber.

Thanks I actually prefer it without the white lettering.

Mind if I ask more about the lift and tire specs? This is pretty much exactly how I want my WJ to look.

IRO 3inch lift kit with bilstein 5100s. 265/70-16 Duratracs on Vision Soft 8s and an addco rear sway bar

The 5100s and sway bar make the ride and handling sooo smooth. Such an improvement over stock.

Pretty sure I'd need a separate set of wheels/tires for State Inspection here, Vermont is really sticky about how far outside of the fender your tires can be.

      Looks good though.

A buddy of mine wheels a WJ and I have spent some time around it over the last year or so. They are pretty good trucks, just stay away from the WJ group on FB, it's full of toothless methed out hillbillies with clogged heater cores, dead climate control heads, fried control modules, and rusty body panels.

Doug has an '04 4.7 Limited with the 247 AWD, 4.5in IRO lift with front arms and stock rears on JK Sahara 18s/32s and a set of rock rails. That truck does great and went everywhere my JK Rubi 4dr on 35s will go on green and blue trails while dragging axle tubes, control arm mounts, shock mounts, etc (the non important stuff )

I love a used Grand Cherokee on paper, but every time I've ever test driven one, they feel about twice their age. Cheap to buy and build though.

I got mine for 1100 bucks plus TTL from my store. Granted its worth a little bit more than that, it was a steal that I couldn't pass up. The tires alone are worth more than what I paid for the truck

That sounds like one of my vehicles

Despite the lack of white letters, I do love the rig. Blackhawks, that’s another story

Thanks man! I'll check that out, that sounds like pretty much exactly what I'm looking for. Great looking WJ, by the way.

I was actually talking to someone about this the other day, and when they're in good shape and their suspension is well sorted, then they're pretty nice to drive; they feel kinda utilitarian, I guess you could say, but not necessarily super cheap. That said, I'm coming from a GMT400 Suburban, so your mileage may vary. The problem with them though, is that they descend to that level of "****ty and cheap" really really quickly. But like you said, cheap to build, so it's not too hard to bring em back to life.

Mine is a great daily, awful gas mileage, but it's comfy, reliable, and has more features than my girlfriend's Si which is almost a decade newer. And at this point, I'm ok with it feeling a little cheap, cause well, it was cheap, so that's ok. But I've had it for 6 months and 10k miles, and it's probably the best daily I've ever had.

Anyway, here's my stock Jeep and not so stock Mustang.

I forget so quickly how big tires look on Jeeps. I had 33's on my XJ *33x10.5R15* and they looked GIGANTIC, meanwhile you can throw 285/70R17 tires on just about any truck with no problem and they don't look big. Your WJ looks awesome.

I agree with the white lettering, blackwalls out on a black vehicle. If you're Jeep was white I'd say whitewalls out as I think it looks good on a white vehicle, but not black. I'm weird though.

Hope to get this out of storage in a few weeks; need the weather and pot hole repair crews to cooperate.

Yes sir. I have since sold my poor man's drag pack and waiting to pay off the car this year before I do anymore track racing but I'll still be up there watching since I live about 20 min south of the track. Send me a PM if you ever head down there or if you're on Facebook, I'm a member of the SS owners page and on gto/g8s of delaware pa nj and md page.

I'm on both, Geoff Coburn is the name on there. I took the SS to Cecil once, if I ever do an LSA to it I'll head back again. I gotta get my Rabbit finished before I spend money elsehwere.

Yea best so far has been 12.29 @ 113. Being on the stock converter makes it really hard to 60 ft with the cam I have. There really isn't any point in me going back. I cut 1.9 60 which is horrible but there's a lot left on the table as far as ET goes. I really don't want to put a converter in it because the car is modded more to hit the twisties than drag racing. Don't know if your'e part of the Lehigh Valley Holdens page but we're trying to set up a Hawk's Nest Cruise in May. Sent you a friend request on FB.

2005 Burb 2500 4wd w/ 75k miles, completely stock. I am toying with the idea of getting headers and a minor lift, because that 12mpg is just too much hehe

Yes they have. I had an 04' for about a year and a half. Great truck, couple little problems but pretty good all around. I got rid of it since our gas prices here have risen so much.
