Look, I get it, you had a data breach. That sucks. But how much info can a michecious person really get from a car forum. Which leads me to this, why in the hell am I required to basically create a password that's as strong, if not stronger than a financial institutions website? And then I'm to remember this overly complicated password? Ridiculous, guys.

Put real words together then add a special character or two.

Other people do pattern passwords which are weird to me. Basically type a pattern on the keyboard and just remember the pattern then if there's a shift or not in it.

I do agree though, password polices are far to complicated for a car form.

I just came here to complain about this. The password requirements have kept me from visiting the site regularly ever since they were implemented (like a year now? i dunno). I just end up resetting my password occasionally, to get rid of the damn newsletter popup, then whenever i try to log in on a different device, I'm forced to reset it again because of course I can never remember what I chose as my password the last time. and so, the problem persists. What's worse, is people probably ARE using their hardcore financial passwords so they have some chance of remembering it. So next time, god forbid, you have another data breach, there's going to be some real damage.

As was discussed when it happened we are going to be relaxing the requirements now that the first year has passed.
