      Nice! I admire your handiness.
Any interest in doing same for future "AT with CB" customers?

I fantasize about having a ham base camp unit mounted in front passenger foot well that I can leave on (powered by extra AGM battery on an isolator switch) to relay from a handheld Yaesu, so if get lost or hurt out hiking away from car and camp, that I can " ET phone home"
but thats pretty far down my to-do list...

Def agree Cb is better and first...
U get much static in Ocotillo from the illegal boosted Baja fishermen?

I'm always willing to do the same for others if they need help. Just ask me or if you're in the LA area look me up. I have all the tools to do everything from the VCDS to anything electrical and physical to the car.

Hahaha Not yet. I am starting to get into HAM radio as well with a Faraday cage, but that's for my house in case of SHT. That's really off the wall, but admirable and just another scenario for me to think of. If you phone home who is gonna save you?!

Snow foamed, washed, clay barred, ceramic coated and then waxed... thing is a mirror!

I also removed the "golf" and "tsi" badges.

      Got a new windshield installed.

      Pilkington glass, $315.00.

Hope it holds up better than the original.

So far I like it, its subtle but you can hear it in certain gears, plus my turbo still has the muffler etc.

So USP sells the whole carbon part as a replacement but I have a feeling with some searching you could find a suitable replacement for the internal filter as it has screws to open it up which means you could clean it I would think. Otherwise its $75 bucks a pop for the replacement filter assembly part which in the grand scheme isn’t terrible considering most decent cone filters are around $35 and this only ran me $170 for the whole intake on sale.

Overall its a good intake and super easy to install, ill have to see how it works in the long term

After many starts/stops, finally got the suspension bits installed on my 2019 AT SEL (front bushing were also upgraded, which installer/tuner highly recommended - parts list included and prices slightly higher now).
Night and day difference on handling, overall comfort and smoothness. No weaving, bobbing, diving, etc. Point and shoot w/o any harshness. Perfect stance with a slight rake/cushion for carrying extra gear via the Variant R springs. Stg.1 comes later after a few oil changes.
Car has 30% tint all around (except front) and a rear bumper plate/protector.

      Great job. Perfect height.

Thx. Appreciate the info- once again VWVO cognoscenti comes thru.

Picked up a rock on a county road in SD late in the day (teach me to crowd the oil field traffic!) and by the time I noticed the chip at bottom of windshield, on cool morning leaving hotel for leg 2, it had turned into a 12" traveling crack... dammit!

Murphys Law of car insurance, I had just reduced my premium a month ago when second teen departed by changing to $1000 deductible on comprehensive - and USAAs new "partner" at SafeLite wants $524. Thats for the S which seems high...

So I'll continue being a cheap bastard and keep looking...

Any other ideas here in US for reliable glass and install vendors on Mk7s?

Mine is an S as well, should be the cheapest.

Local shop did mine. $315 was the quote with no issues.
Not sure why Safelite would be so much higher.

Picked up this 2019 S in GFG a couple weeks ago. All within the last week, I've done the following:

      Had the the windows tinted:

      Installed a MuddyBuddy:

      Installed a Helix sub/amp:

Used the car to swap out tires on my track car's track wheels:

^ What % tint did you have installed on the windows? Window tint is on my list as well just not sure what % I'll go with. My last wagon I got 35% all around, debating if I should go 30.

20% on rear and side windows. Didn't do the windshield. Will need to, though, as the Florida heat is ridiculous. 20% is perfect IMO, dark enough to give you actual privacy, but you can still see out of it at night. Also not so dark that you'll get pulled over, at least down here.

Lined the cubby under and to the left of the steering wheel with velvet. Gonna put change in it and wanted to minimize the noise not pretty or perfect but it'll get the job done.

Maybe I should've done leopard print.

Green on Marrakesh brown is the best color combo. Congrats!

Looks great man, and that setup sounds like exactly what I'm going for, thanks for the detailed parts list. What bushings did you end up going with?

You drop the subframe for front LCA?
