You drop the subframe for front LCA?
So many bushings! I haven't done anything with the suspension yet. I've only had the car a month, so I have just done little stuff. Bumper guard, CDV Delete, custom sun shade (the sun just blasts you in these cars).

Mines a manual so I'm not sure if the subframe has to come out for front LCA. If so I'm probably out on that until I have a better area to work on the cars. Right now I'm working with a single lane sloped driveway and 4 vehicles.

Nope...shouldn't be necessary for control arm bushings (front and rear of fronts). I can pull the invoice from the shop, but it wasn't that expensive. Not sure what's involved with the other contact points.

Odd. I've def read that it was needed for Golf R an GTI with the DSG otherwise you can't get the front bolt out on the drivers side. To a shop, dropping the subframe prob isn't a game changer when there are a bunch of other things they are doing.

Sadly many more honeydo items on the list for me to tackle the bushings, that and I don't have a press.

      I’ll post a pic when it’s done.

Changed the air filter and cabin filter. After just under a year of ownership and 30K kms, the cabin filter was a bit dirty but the air was pretty clean still. Where I used to live, you'd have to change those filters twice a year they'd get so dirty

Nahh he just needs air lift bags in the springs to even it out.

Had the day off from work. Have taken my time taking the wheels off and scrubbing and sealing them. 1 more to go. It's darn hot outside though!

It’s color matched painted. Make sure you prep the plastic well. I put 4 coats of paint and 3 coats of clear and it still chips really easily. It would be a difficult item to wrap because it’s textured abs plastic I think. They are also challenging to take off (they are taped on the whole length from the factory)
