Thread: AWD 500 HP Scirocco Build =)

      Hi everyone,

I have recently started building my dream car.
It's a 2011 VW Scirocco and to give you an overview; I'm converting it to AWD and I'm aiming for around 500 AWHP.

The Scirocco is my first VW, and my first car less than 40 years old.

I guess I introduce myself... I don't know, its my first thread.
I'm very much addicted to building cars; its a sickness
      My garage houses:
1964 BMC Mini Moke (belonged to my father when he was a kid)
1967 Alfa Romeo 105 Step Nose
1971 Ke20 Corolla (full drive train conversion, 1.6 4ag motor running on motorbike carbs, build with my partner)
      1976 Ta22 Celica (1.8 3tgte, garret gt2861rs, r31 rear end, s13 front suspension; its a francenstein track build)
1969 Mach 1 Mustang (long term project!)
and of course my 2011 Scirocco
As you can see, I'm not into any particular manufacturer, some cars just take my fancy.

Anyway, I think this build is pretty exciting and figured some of you guys might want to see it to.

I've been planning the AWD build since well before I could afford the car (about 5 years now).

What always scared me was the electronics, but thankfully I found this build thread:

Its in Finnish but it cleared up a lot of the unknows. Talking to Heikki (the author) helped me out a lot as well.

I'll try to catch up on what I've done so far and then keep it pretty much up to date as I go.
I'm studying my second engineering degree and working at the same time though so my time is limited and I apologise if progress is slow some times =/

      You ever accomplish the build?
      2018 GTI SE DSG
2018 Tiguan SEL PREM, R-Line, 7 Pass (aka JJ)
      2004 Volvo XC70 (aka Eleanor)
