About to hit 19K, still very, very pleased with the Accord. Zero mechanical issues or failures of any kind. The OE Contis are wearing great too.

Two small minor gripes. The B pillar plastic is starting to fade. Problem is the Accord is garaged both at home and work. Second gripe, the HVAC panel itches against the dash plastics horribly in warm weather. Iím going to pull it and apply some 3M anti itch tape on the mounting points and maybe some felt pads between the unit and dash. Hopefully this cures it. Oh and the paint is still thin as hell. Rock chips continue to accumulate.

This reads like a VW ownership report

though, thanks for the update. Seeing these make me sad that they got it so wrong with the current Accord's styling.

Iím warming up to the 10th genís styling. A 2.0t 6MT is damn tempting now they can be had with a sunroof and better audio.

Is the b-pillar actually black plastic, or just black vinyl wrap? My 8th gen Civic So was the latter, and I always wondered how that stuff help up in the long term.

Nothing. Itís a random alpha-numeric issue for The New England Air Museum. But, yes it reads 1FGT8...go ahead.

Itís plastic, no vinyl. The Touring trimís B pillars are glossy, so there is that option.

I could theoretically sell it now for a profit since I bought it discounted. The Manuels are rare.

Never noticed that until now. That's an unfortunate number plate issue.

I was only asking because I thought I remember reading about FGT plates and CT specifically at some point. I am surprised they let those go to stamping is all.

      Very nice OP!

Love the Accord, wouldn't mind picking up my MIL's EX when she sells in a few years.

OE Contis wearing slow is a good thing?! Man, wait 'till you replace them with MPSS/MP4S, that'll be a transformation!

Then RPF1's, Swift springs, RSB, downpipe/high-flow cat/cat-back, & Hondata tune. Tasteful improvements.

Bi*ched to the DMV, plates reissued free of charge

At 22K and change now. Only non-maintenance item addressed by the dealer was an interior trim piece which was starting to deteriorate where my leg rubs against it. They replaced it as a 'goodwill' saying no go next time as it is considered wear/tear.

My brakes are pulsating when they get hot. Damn soft pad material that Honda uses which accumulates on the rotors. The dealer wanted to charge me upwards of $300 to resurface them. No thanks. I'll just live with it for now and switch over to ceramic pads at some point. This always solved the pulsation issue on my other Hondas.

I previously mentioned the HVAC unit itching in the dash with temp changes. I cured this by pulling the unit and wrapping all the mounting points. No other buzzes, squeaks or abnormalities.

I'd be happy those are wearing slow those damn contis run about 250.00 each for replacements (same size a fusion titanium 19s)

I changed my pads and rotors and no issues with the annoying pulsating that I was also having on my '15. Bosch pads, Wagner rotors.

Any more info on the HVAC issue/fix? When the blower is going slow, there's a super annoying buzzing type noise. I wonder if this is the same issue you're mentioning, any diy page on it?

Mine was an actual itch/rubbing with the HVAC control panel in the dash. Too much plastic on plastic. Iíd check the blower motor, sounds like something is stuck in there. Pull the cabin filter and take a peak.

Just 5 days shy of two years, 27,731 miles, the battery gave up. New battery installed under warranty in 15 mins. My local Honda dealer is the shiznit.

      While I waited...

Why does this view look so Explorerish?

I actually saw a white Kizashi on the road the other day and thought of yours. It's still a good looking car.

I actually passed my Kizashi not that log ago. It had undergone some interesting changes like a Polish flag on the hood, some random grille badge, euro plate and some Pep Boy add one. Poor Kiz.

I took a departing photo as I passed.
