I'm a little embarrassed, but I'll post anyways. Got this **** tint job done recently. Asked them to re-do it, but they said they would rather remove it and refund. Now I have to find a new shop. Any recommendations for good shops in Raleigh, NC?

I'd love to get my tinted, just need to find a shop that takes care of the dot matrix. That silvery line would bother me too much. I've heard some shops use black vinyl. Are there other ways of shops dealing with the dots?

1. What is visibility out the back like with 20% vs 35% at night? I like the way it looks but if I go 20%, I am worried I won’t be able to see anything.
2. It is illegal to tint the front windows here. What % can I do safely that will look OEM but still get some of the benefits of heat reduction? 50%? 65%?
3M 20% all around. It’s not bad at night in the city/well lit areas. In remote areas it’s pretty dark at night. Just recently added LED reverse lights which help.

For others' questions about sight and law.... I have 50% front to where it's legal in most states, is a nice improvement most days, and fine at night. My wife chose 20% back wanting to match her Sienna SE and our Outback. The tint shop people said she has 20% with the Sienna SE (lowered, sport wheel/suspension version of Sienna aka Swaggerwagon), same for our Outback. The Alltrack with darker glass in back is no different than driving our van and Outback that came with dark tints. The shop I went to for tint said don't bother with the panoramic roof but he would take our money. He said the roof will still roast being a bunch of dark or darker glass.
The 50% front is legal and a big improvement if anyone has hesitation. 50% is not a cop magnet.
I did 50% on the front door windows of my last wagon and 35% for the rest and I never did like it. I did not care for the lack of symmetry or cohesiveness. So this time I went 35% all around.
Honestly, I don't know how people drive at night with super dark tints. I guess they just deal with it and get used to it for the day time benefits.
