Picked up a 2018 C43 a few months after MBUSA bought back my 2017.

Did things a little different this time. LED headlights and taillights (old one had halogens)

Designo paint (didn't care for this but it was optioned that way)

AMG performance exhaust. Wow! Sounds so much better. This is a must!

Things I am not too thrilled about:

Black seat belts instead of red.

illuminated front emblem and under door logo projectors (way too cheezy) I'll take a photo once it gets dark and will put some black tape to cover these up.

Washed the others so a group photo

Wow, TCL actually got you to trade it in for one without halogens. Did you get the nav this time too?

Super Hot ride. I remember how much grief you caught over the base headlights Full LED's and sport exhaust = now you're dialed in.

Why did the original one get lemon'd? Also...what is so special about that white paint that it's listed as a Designo option?

There was a fully loaded model with AMG seats and designo interior but halogens. It was tempting but I remembered TLC and just couldn’t do it.

MB is really strange if you opt for the multimedia package then you lose car play. I chose car play over that so technically no Navi.

I dont know if its considered a lemon but it had a whole bunch of random issues that Benz couldn’t figure out. Got a call from corporate that they are just going to take the car back.

Here is the thread if you want to read: https://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...7-C43-problems

The designo paint is more pearl. $1500 option. I’d be fine with the “base” polar white.

Congrats, the PE should be the #1 option on every C43. You should try this next http://www.burgertuning.com/mercedes...00_Stage1.html Best bang for the buck, installs in 15 minutes and you won't have to worry about "TD1"

amg exhausts sound insane for a stock vehicle. Had a C43 AMG like 20 car lengths ahead of me on the highway smash the gas and I could hear those pops loud and clear so far back. Had a GLC43 AMG come up behind me and could hear those same pops from like 5 car lengths behind me, and more as he passed and kept going. I approve this purchase for exhaust reasons alone.

Whew. Thank goodness you fixed the horrific halogen issue with the new one.

(Seriously though, why high-end manufacturers still upcharge customers for something that is standard on a Corolla is to me.)

Looks like a nice car! Hope this one treats you better.

I'm going to drive over to get one too. I'm about 20 minutes the other side of them. And I actually looked for one with no red belts, I didn't want them.

      Yes, yes

On Cali 91 octane (map1 +3psi), it should give you 50+hp/tq, it's noticeable throughout the entire power band.

Here’s that logo projectors. Not digging it at all. Hopefully some black tape will hide it. Unfortunately this and the illuminated front logo were $650 in options.

Unfortunately we can't ship or allow pickup in CA since it's not yet CARB approved.

wait till you see the beater! W210 E430 with 186k. I was actually driving that daily for some time. I didnt mind it at all however it was just falling apart. Wheel bearings, wheel hub, spindles etc

I drove until the wheels fell off literally. Its currently parked with a broken wheel spindle clamp nut.

Maybe if you drive a Maybach you wanna show the world what you paid for. This doesnt belong on a C Class. It looks like it was bought off Amazon.

Speaking of Maybach, dealer had a convertible Maybach in stock with a sticker of $337k. Salesman said if you buy this Maybach, I’ll give you a 24 month lease on a C43 for free.

Haha, wow. I thought the front was cheesy (saw it for the first time a few months ago) but this is next level. Is there somewhere in the settings you can turn them off?

Thanks to a dealer miscommunication my folks bought a GLE350 4Matic with lots of great options, but somehow wound up with base halogens instead of the LED option. I just drove the car at night in rain a couple days ago, and the halogens are AWFUL. It’s not just TCL drama, the base Mercedes headlights are really bad.

OP’s new C43 is gorgeous, no question!
