Just been reading another forum that I'm a member of which just had to cancel their big GTG. I think we should have a roll call of all those that are attending and any partners/passengers. It would also be nice to try and organise group parking at the Autofest for non VWs from Vortex. Maybe even the VWs of Vortex with signs at the actual show. Damm, should have thought abouth this long before now.
Anyway, unless something serious comes up, I'll be there with the wife, Heather, in my Commodore.

sounds like a great idea...
Liam, ur a graphic designer, right?.... would there be any copyright issues with making up a vwvortex banner? or maybe we should be advertising Club VAG? Or maybe both?
Are we planning to show all our cars in a group?

After many many many PM's with vortex admins, I believe I'll be doing the 'tex group buy tonite or tomorrow. This wil give us a few sticker, shirts and caps - IF they arive in time.
*crosses fingers*
I'll be there in my GTI. I may be bringing 2 friends, most likely will be alone.

Ibiza is the 'has been' party venue of Europe.
For the last 3 years, Ayia Napa in Cyprus has been numero uno ! Scandinavian central - mmmm lovely juvleys...
(But I am sure Ibiza will still be awesome)

We are only in Ibiza for 2 nights, I think the 28th and 29th, so we'll get to the last closing party at space by the looks. I'm not really into clubbing, but I think this is something that has to be experienced if you're in the area.

Tim you MUST go to Café del Mar, I hear its THE thing to do.... go there chill out watch the sunset while the resident DJ throws down a sublime set, perfect prelude to the following hours of partying

Rob I know it sounds bad huh, it was making a rattling noise.... i was told by the service manager that apparently only a $5 part is loose or broken, but they are just gonna fit me a new gearbox anyway
Liam ohhh is that what that extra left pedal is for!?!? now you tell me... no wonder the cars been making this really funky crunching noise everytime I shift gears

11. 09-02-2003 10:14 PM #109
Hey I rekon those of you who are showing off your cars on Sunday should get a big "VWvortex.com" windscreen banner!!!

hmmmm . . . . If the other guys are up for it, I'll get a banner. I'd have to take it off as soon as I got back to Albury - my work mates already call me a VW fanboy
I think I might show my car, even though it's 99.99% stock.
Rewritten twice - answering helpdesk calls + writing vortex = garbage.

I reckon that ALL VWs, be they stock or not, should be on display. I was refering to the non-VWs here that could park together, although I probably won't hang around all day sunday.

Good stuff Pete. Narrabundah isn't the most central place, but everything in Canberra is pretty much 10 minutes away!
You'll be pretty close to Manuka* (cafes/movies etc) and not really all that far from where the Autofest will be held on Sunday, although you're on the other side of the lake. Put it this way, I'm probably a good 10kms further away form the lake than you ... but I am closer to Dickson for the cruise on Saturday.
You basically have to drive past my house to get into town, so gimme a call on your way in and I may be able to escort you to your hotel sir!

And here I am stuck in Queanbeyan on the other side of town for everything. Not that it ever stops us.

hah! I've just checked the map - I thought my hotel was central - I thought I was right next to parliment house! Oh well, not a problem.
Liam, I'm hoping to leave Albury 7-8am, so I'll probably get into Canberra before lunch, when you may be working. Doesn't matter, I like exploring new places
Who else is getting excited?
