This has me wondering, what are your expectations for future problems on the car? It seems like you have gotten relatively lucky thus far in comparison to #76, seemed like you were breaking things left and right on that.

you also gotta remember that the 2002 has been beaten on for 4 years by me and has done 20 events this year alone with me driving with zero mechanical sympathy. i do my best to break cars so that i can find the weak points and make them better. the 2002 honestly has held up extremely well. the engine should have grenaded by now along with the gear box. issues i expect with the e36 maybe bent suspension pieces, broken axles and possibly trans issues from miss shifts. the diff i got from a buddy has been "bullet proofed" and shouldnt break under my stock power. the 2002 has probably 50+ rallyx, autox and drifting events on it along with close to 30,000 miles since i owned it. the e36 has 2 events and has only been through 3 tanks of gas so far

What course is this? That blind hill is crazy, there are no markers, there's no planned runoff anywhere, and it looks like a dairy farm.

panthera training center in west virginia. its a road course to train law enforcement, gov officials and others of similar jobs on how to keep control of a vehicle while in pursuit and other type of scenarios. when we went over the hill for a sighting lap and stopped just after it there was bullet casing all over the turn from what i assume was training on how to shoot out of a moving vehicle it is the best drift course i have ever driven and the rallyx course on the other side of the property is also the best course i have ever driven

in the first part of the video right at the end where i disappear over the hill and then the next video starts, that the hill. it was super fun, you hit it at around 65-70mph sideways and maintain drift down the hill, then grab a bit of the ebrake to transition and slow you down for the next downhill turn.
i burned through more tires doing huge ebrake slides to slow down and set up for a turn than i did roasting the tires off mid drift

Its actually wider and with more runoff than most of the public roads in that area, which are also not marked and have blind hills like that

had a amazing 3 days of drifting. had a ton of seat time and did a ton of tandeming. gave me a ton of practice driving with my buddy (in the videos) with is KA S14 since my car was so much faster than his i had to left foot brake to not bash into him and had to also do it when leading so that he could get real close to me or else i would just drive away. unfortunately 2 hours into the 3rd day i grenaded the trans when i bang shifted reverse after i spun out and was leading a buddy of mine. i snatched reverse to back up as fast as possible so that he wouldnt park it on my bumper. it lost reverse immediately. i drove off shifting up to 3rd gear. then after coming to a stop and showing my buddies it got stuck in 5th no matter what gear/neutral the shifter was in. either it broke internally or i broke the shift rod in the trans as it will only go into reverse and 5th on the shifter but never come out of 5th gear in the trans. already have a line on a few replacement transmissions so next weekend that should be replaced and then back to drifting the weekend after that

sorry about the vertical video, it was shot on IG story

this video is me leading the S14 and a is300. i ran out of angle after the hump and spun out. i managed to catch reverse and back up or else i would have eaten his door. then i decided to do a 360 handbrake spin that my passenger wasnt ready for and it knocked my phone out of his hands

Glad to see a Mustang out drifting. I don't know why these aren't more popular for drifting...cheap, powerful, RWD, plentiful, etc.

Yes, I know Vaughn Gitten does the Mustang drift thing but Mustang drift cars still seem rare.

that chrisfix from youtube. there are actually more mustang drift cars than you would expect. most are fox bodies though. biggest downside on them is the live rear axle.

I wondered what happened on the skid pad side, I never made it over! Even though we had about two hours between HPDE sessions we always seemed to be busy. Stacked really made me want an S13/14/15 or 350Z again, I thought I had kicked that urge lol. By far the one of the best events I've ever attended!
