Thread: Seat Ibiza fr weird diagnostics problem

Hi, I have an Ibiza with a problem related to the diagnostics bus.

      Here goes the story...
The car came in with no drive, the DSG was neutralized, hooked up the scann tool but it’s only able to talk to certain modules (radio and others) but most of the main modules are not accessible and they appear with a communication faulty message. I’ve checked all fuses and the connectors to the bcm but no luck.
The other day I turned on the car and it drove just fine for about 2 hours, then the DSG stopped working and the P symbol disappeared from the mfd, also the Tpms symbol and Tcs lit up.

I don’t seem to find the cause for the car not being able to communicate with the scann tool (I’ve tried 4 different brands including odis and no luck) to be able to go into the DSG module and see what’s wrong.

I’m thinking it’s a bcm issue but I don’t have another one to test.

      Thanks for reading.

DSG electronic module was shorted, that’s the issue, changed it and now it works perfectly (gearbox and diagnostic bus)
