Having spent that time in the RS5 SB, I would not be interested in the RS4. RS' needs 8 cylinders. Edit: or 5. 5 Cylinders also work in RS models.

I agree with both of you, but I wouldn't kick an S4 Allroad out of my driveway either.

      Also - agree RS5 SB > RS4 Avant.

If true, it is about damn time.

My sister in the UK has a regular C7.5 A6 avant and it is great. Would work a lot better in the US than the A4 based. Bigger inside and all that.

That said, if the RS6 avant is indeed headed over here, depending on what price looks like, I'll be trying to buy it!

So. I have heard multiple accounts. I heard, from a pretty high up source, that the A6 Allroad is "FOR SURE, LOCKED IN COMING" (i do caps and bold because thats they way the guy said it. and that is how he is as a person) But then a few weeks later, I heard that it could be off the table now. So take that for what it is. Anytime any one at the meetings would ask about RS6 there was more of a unconvincing answer. They seemed to basically say to keep dreaming. That could mean they are trying to keep it hush hush, but, based on my time with the company, I would not hold my breath.

Also, if it did come, it would lease for crap, probably more than the my R8, and I would get the same deal. But we shall see.

I hope it does come, if it does. Mark my words. It very well could be my next car. New. Not in 5-10 years used
No joke, this will replace my SQ if it comes over, also new. I'll PM you.

Agreed as well, an allroad may well replace my A4, but it's annoying to me that I will in all likelihood have to replace the suspension just to get a normal ride height. I have seen an allroad on s-line suspension (assuming from a sedan) and it's about the ideal ride height.

Would love an RS6 wagon, but unless I win the lottery or my boss decides to double my salary, it's not happening. Still, I'd be happy if they bring it over and they sell, even if it's just to hopefully, pave the way for more wagons.

You won’t buy an RS5 Sportback because it’s over $100k in Bagged Milk dollars, but you’d buy this? No way

If I had the means and it was available, I'd buy a RS6 Avant on Monday. For me it would be the perfect do everything car.

      As would I.

We don’t all have Smooremin monies, though. I’ll be happy with a standard one along with my rental.

Meh, I've had VW roadside assistance for 12 of the past 15 years, haven't used it once.

Even my MkIV GTI 1.8T was reliable.

The only car at the moment that would tempt me out of my S6 is an RS6 be it sedan or Avant. So ultimately if Audi brings this car I’m in and I’m not waiting for a used model, I want it now. If they don’t than RS7 is next I guess.

What if you get a flat tire in the middle of nowhere while traveling with your wife and cat?

I don't have a wife or significant other but do have a kitty. I'd figure it out...

A plug kit and a compressor can get me to eventual assistance. Or a good Samaritan. I'm not worried about warranty coverage because it would always remain as the factory designed. I'm to old and smart for the chipping stuff.

These will be coming out right when I'm finally getting set in my career and affording such a car might be nearly in reach... Question is, do I buy one of these or keep the Golf and buy a manual 992.1 GT3? around 2021-22??? (If I can even get an allocation.... probably won't).

Amazing that my 2 actual dream cars will be on sale in America for once... I can't believe we may get an RS6 Avant!!!
