In case anyone was wondering, the Ferrari and Lambo are owned by Harry Metcalfe who regularly features them on his YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIB...WWzTOw6guIMYCg

I said to myself during that segment “Harry’s Garage has both of those cars... I wonder if...”

That’s a great channel btw. Maybe the least pretentious, fabulously car wealthy man on YouTube.

I had completely forgotten he mentioned in one of his videos that both cars were off being filmed by TGT until I saw the episode preview.

i believe the countach just had brand new pirelli's installed before shooting. i really wish they were able to do it on a dry track. it was amazing seeing here bang shift the gears on a gated box

Agreed—not just because of who he is (founder of evo, among many other things), but also because of the way he truly appreciates—and uses—all of the cars in his collection. The TR to the Sahara film, or the banger Rolls to the Arctic Circle. Just great content.

I watched the entirety of that James May unboxing video when he originally posted it.

Does anyone else get the impression that the budget for the current season is substantially less than in the early days?

The segment where they tried to pander to millennium buyers with their hot hatches was weak and just simply tired.

I shut off the episode before the end.

I thought it was somewhat funny, esp. the James May unboxing bit.

Not as funny as Mahk though.

Meh, he wasn't funny 3 years ago.

I really enjoyed the Scotland episode and especially Clarkson's choice of the GTV6.

Never knew that the plastic bit on the bonnet was due to "plenums exploding" --- subsequent googles seem to indicate that opinions are divided on the subject.

The South African 3.0 version had a more muscular bulge:

it was a little funny watching her look down when shifting to make sure its in the right gear. You can tell she is used to newer stuff.

I had to wonder if that happened on the first couple laps and they put it in for effect. I could almost see her saying "Really...?!"

Georgia episode was great. Really felt like an old TG episode, perfect balance of stupidity, great visuals and cars. I really want to go to Tbilisi now.

James May's "real world speed" point with the Renault is something that I've had in the back of my mind since the Top Gear McLaren-Mercedes vs Bullet train type challenges, so that was pretty funny to see. Clarkson always goes on those long winded emotional descriptions about the magnificence and cutting edge precision of those top GT cars and in the back of my mind I always thought "Well yeah... but you can probably do this in a Lumina, too."

I liked this episode, though I had to at Clarksons “Britain invented the Internet” line.

      Nah, man.

      The BMW looks awful.

The Aston is stunning. But the interior is a real letdown.

Agreed, I'd take the Bentley, despite the fact that it looks like ass. That cabin mmmmmmmm
