      Hello folks,
I have a minor issue with my 2018 R. The seat is too tall, and when I have it adjusted so that my left leg is almost fully extended to press the clutch, my right knee (almost) hits the steering column when I do toe heel. I can't lower the seat any more, and tilting the front portion doesn't help because it doesn't actually lower my butt. Any suggestions?

I've seen people raise their seats by putting spacers in, but i don't think i've seen anyone lower the seat further.. Easiest would probably be an aftermarket seat/bucket but not really cost effective..

I am not sure if there is an actual difference, but I was able to get the seat on a 2016 lower than I was able to get a 2018 seat when I sat in it at the dealer. It is enough of a difference that I would feel uncomfortable driving the 2018, but the 2016 is fine.

I’m 6’2” with a pretty long torso so I have trouble fitting in cars if the seat doesn’t go down far enough.

You could also sit in a gti with manual seats to see if it goes lower than the power seat.
