I need to increase traffic on my website and attract more visitors, but I'm not sure about SEO. The SEO guy i met was going on and on how adwords are the secret sauce, and nobody teaches you that. Is SEO worth paying for?
I run two small YouTube channels and never really cared about keywords or best practices. Now that I saw others channels with the same topics gaining viewers and subscribers much faster than me I started to look into keywords a bit more and I was shocked at how changing them would easily increase viewership.
My viewership doubled and my subscriber count started jumping much faster once I made these changes. I bet hiring someone for a website could have a profound effect. Just make sure you have solid before and after numbers so you know if they are being effective!
Most Onpage-SEO can you do yourself pretty easily. Meta title, find keywords, content. Read a little about how to optimize your meta titles and how to make good SEO content. Quality links can also be done by yourself, but it require more time and you might have to read a little more about it before starting.
If hiring a man to do the work is worth it or not is op to you to decide.
If you hire a professional to paint your wall you will probably get a better and faster result. But if you are satisfied with your own work because you want to save money, you can do it yourself.
Put time into it or let someone else do the work for you, so you can use your time better somewhere else.
If you hire someone to do the work make em do a benchmark for how much you will gain after 3-6 months. And after 3-6 months you can look back and see if it was worth it or not. And decide if you want to continue.
Remember SEO takes time and you will properly not make profit over night. If you looking for over night profit you are looking for Adwords.
