NJ anyone is allowed to buy fuel there, law against membership required for fuel purchases. NJ is even cheaper than Va and md way better than pa so we always get fuel in NJ when we go. But Costco isn't convenient to our direction of travel to and from my parents and the lines are on a good day 2* what that pic shows. So we don't go just for fuel, but if we need stuff anyway we go and will wait the few minutes since we are there already.

The only time NJ law that you can't pump your own gas is an advantage is Costco, those guys are efficient!!!

Oh the last one may not be at costco. That's my biggest gripe about this thread, nobody really mentions octane.

We don't have Costco but we do have BJ's. They recently opened a many-pumps new station. Price is good, but not really much better than I get from Cumberland Farms with my app-pay discount. It's generally my choice of station when I'm in that area though because it's new, conveniently located, and clean (as long as you avoid the skanky diesel pumps).

87 is about 20 cents cheaper in VA than it is here.

93 is about 20 cents cheaper in VA than it is here

Pretty straightforward octane, is irrelevant in the context of my post. You'll find the list I did state an absolute price did list octane.

      Gripe some place else.

The lines really don't take that long.

Considering that many people will go to Costco to shop, then fuel... you are already there.
Going to a new station may not save any time, since its a new trip to make and potentially more miles.
You will also likely be paying a fair amount more per gallon for your troubles.

If Costco is out of the way, and you are already there... the time in line is minimal compared to the big picture.

I can literally drive past my local Costco during my commute with a 1-2mi course deviation, so I can go fuel up any day of the week.

If I could deviate 1-2 miles to a Costco I'd eat pizza every damn day.

Regular is ~1.62 per litre, which makes premium ~1.81 per litre. So about $5.10 a gallon in comparable US prices and volumes for 91.

      It's 3.78L per gallon.

The Canadian federal carbon tax just kicked in and it's $1.25/L this morning which works out to $3.53 US/G

      What?

It's 3.78 litres per US gallon and I am also converting CAD into USD

      1.81 x 3.78 = 6.84 x .75 = $5.13

Are you (and sir russels) converting to USD also? That makes sense.

      This.

I live in Seattle which has the 2nd largest favorable gap (Honolulu is #1) between gas prices and electricity prices.

I just paid $3.49/gallon for 93 ethanol free.

I sprayed 16.2 gallons into the 325i. Should last me a good 500 miles.

No, never. I usually pay around $1.65 for premium, maybe slightly less in Abbotsford. If I have to pay full pop I just put in $20 and fill up next time I find it less (usually that Esso). Mind you my tank is tiny so 15 cents a litre is only about $6 on a fill.

I haven't paid attention to gas prices in years. I just filled up today with 91 and didn't even look. I did get $.10 off per gallon with my grocery club card though, so I paid less than some other guy.

Right now it's about $ 3.40 for Shell Ultra 93, no ****s given.

$4.00 per gallon is no big deal, to me, as long as the roads are well maintained. I get 30+ mpg so gas price are inconsequential. $10 per gallon then it would be time for concern.

It's only a marginal cost in the whole scheme of things.
