Good afternoon everyone. I have a 1997 Volkswagen Cabrio that has the P0102 code for low circuit mass airflow sensor. I put it on a multimeter and I have zero power going to it. It looks like somebody put the plug on it upside down. would that have shorted the ECU. Car runs don’t know what’s going on. please help thank you

It is usually the Maf Sensor that is the issue over the ecm.
I would clean it with Maf Sensor Cleaner (be warned that you want ot to evaporate and get back up to temp as the cleaner can cool it off so let it warm back up to room temp prior.

While it could be the ecu it wouldn't hurt to check all your fuses as well.

I replaced the Maf with a new Bosch one. Still no 12v. I will look at the fuses. Thanks
