Last time I went was about 2004 and it was so crowded that i couldnt take a clear picture without a teen jumping in front of a car or a toddler getting in the way and it was on a weekday, I could only imagine how crowded it must be now that there is loads of new residents in NYC and that was pre social media days. And with the social era there must be 1,000 schmucks live streaming in front of any expensive"but danggg that bish cleannn" "so epic sick dude"

      No thanks

Less cars than Chicago auto show
      Higher ticket prices
      Dreadful parking
For once the Winless City beats NYC @ something

I only go weeknights to avoid the bros -
Been going since I was like 4 years old (26 years in a row) with my dad (first year he's not going, his legs don't work like they used to) - and I agree, it's been less fun over the years

Used to have cool cut aways, cool videos, cool concept cars, and interesting displays

Now it's just "check out our hybrid/electric minivanUV with all the technologies!"

Early 2000's is about the last time I went too. Since then I have moved west but I did enjoy the show when I used to go, so much better than the Philly show that was much more a consumer show.

Yes! I am a lucky one indeed. No crowds, free food/booze and free entry. Plus, all the cars are open for you to look at/play with. It's been great over the years to have access to press days. I've got two boys that are budding gear heads, so I may have to make a trip in during the public days to get them exposed. I'm dreading it =) LoL!

      Enjoy the show!

I'd like to go but I don't think I'd be able to make it on a weekday. I really want to see the 2020 Outback in person.

      Finally!

The Mazda2 hatchback returns to the US (as the 2020 Yaris H/B).

      Sadly, still only 106HP.

Going Saturday the 27th. A friend will be in town and wants to go; we will take the ferry over ($33 for the ride and entrance to the show). It looks expensive, until you figure it's $15 for the tunnel, and $50-$60 to park - and you get to deal with the traffic/morons on cars.

Parking in JC near the Grove St PATH is about $9 - $11 for the day. Edison Fast Park is one lot but a couple others match the weekend pricing. Train to 33rd St station and walk over to the show.

We have "acquired" a parking pass for JC. I'd take the PATH but we will see how the weather is. a 20 minutes walk in cold rain before and after the show sucks.

Our friend from out of town is meeting us to head over. Suggesting a first time visitor navigate JC would probably result in my death lol.

I'm not going, but damn the debuts that are coming out of NYC this week are impressive!
