Hey guys,
Hoping this turns into a discussion, around some of my recent thoughts and learnings that I picked up from one of my best buds.
With many Mark I & Mark II cars, the in tank (tranfer) pump and inline pumps are getting to be 30+ years old. With that said, replacing these so you aren't left on the side of the road isn't the worst idea ever, however they are quite expensive which got me thinking.
Why not delete the inline pump when putting together a forced induciton setup, and upgrade the in tank pump to a Walboro or an AEM, and only run one pump. I see ECS Tuning, APR, and all the rest offer in tank pumps that flow 255 lph, 340 lph (the OEM VW in tank pump flows 80 lbh for comparision) for modified Mark IV's, V's, VI's.
Looking at the Walboro 255 lph pump:

at $74, this is very well priced, and I had a friend who ran this on his 12v VRT with a Garrett T4 with no inline pump.
Wondered if any of you have also done the same, ditch the 2 OEM pumps, put an affordable Walboro/AEM pump in the tank and call it a day.
