So, after much fanfair (and some trolling) from TCL, I brought home a 2019 Audi S3 home last Wednesday.
Sitting pretty at dealership. Beautiful Daytona Grey Metallic with 19" Black optics wheel package.
Stunning Magma Red interior with Technology package that includes Virtual cockpit, Navigation, and 3 months satelite radio (dealership photo).
Bagel pic of car+my driveway (dang I need to powerwash my driveway).
BIG kudos to Smooremin for guiding me through the process. TCLers looking for an Audi in midwest owe yourself to PM him. He's a class act all the way.
Who knew that TCL can be a helpful place for car buying advice?
I shopped Audi A6, BMW 530e (PHEV), Audi S4, and BMW M240i. When everything was tallied up, Audi offered the best terms and the most bang for the buck in terms of value and performance. S3 had all the style, performance, and tech that money can buy imho. Workmanship on the car is simply flawless, and Quarttro grips like crazy no matter what the road conditions hold. And that screaming four cylinder engine is simply outrageous. So this is my first Audi, and I am so glad that I switched over. S3 is a fantastic little ride that reminds me of 2001 A4 that I tried to buy back in the day. I simply love it.
I will do another more detailed review (with photos), since I'm too busy driving S3 around the bends.
So does this mean I'm a full, converted petrolhead? Hardly. I am planning to buy a BMW X3 PHEV for my wife when her X3 lease is up next year. So, don't count on it just yet.
