THIS. Theres' a reason that Audi charges $4,500 premium over VW Golf R. Not that Golf R's interior is bad (it's on par with my BMW), but Audi interior is absolutely stunning. Here's another reason I did not for a S4 Premium. Alcantara seats in a $55K car...

The best way I could sum it up was that the Golf R had a really nice VW interior while the S3 had a really cheap Audi interior. At least back when we drove back it when they first came out. They didn’t even have those quilted seats in the first year.

Nope. It's just a personal preference. I prefer leather (or pleather) over Alcantara.

My wife daily drives the SQ and she's the one that takes the kids to daycare, and often times picks them up. The red seats are holding up quite well. There has been milk, water, rocks, dirt, etc etc all over them. The only part I have a hard time keeping clean is the back of the front driver seat. It's black plastic and the kids shoes are always on it.

If the car had alcantara seats they'd be ruined by now.

      Bingo. That's why I don't like cloth/alcantara seats. I'm a messy person.

Looks awesome! I love the red seats, and especially when they don't add red to anything else – coloured door cards, steering wheel, and dash bits look so cheesy.

No kidding. Audi does some great interiors. Can you imagine me driving in this? It'll drive me crazy (or go color blind in 6 months).

I owned a car with red interior before - Mazda 626 Turbo 1987. Not this one, was manual and had digital instruments, different steering wheel but *close*.

My father had a 1977 Lincoln Versailles - two tones red exterior with ... red interior. Way too much red.

I liked those seats clothing, though.

I’ve owned a mk7 GTI and currently have a 2016 S3. In the S3 I have the standard seats. For my frame, the GTI seats are more comfortable and far more supportive. The Audi seats literally have zero lateral support and I find myself hanging onto the wheel and bracing myself with my knee going around sharp corners. The mag-ride is pretty terrible but otherwise it’s a great car.

Definitely wish I got the red interior on mine. I got one for my old man same Daytona gray exterior as mine but with the red interior.

It was so much better looking.

Oh well. The car is still ok I guess.

Yep. S3 with electronic adjustable suspension rides worse than a BMW 3er. I fit comfortably in the front, but it is still tight inside. I knew this all along, so I'm fine with that. We'll see how much I like the stiff ride after 3 years though. I do like driving it right now, so we'll see.

Your S4 is pretty sweet car no matter what color imho.

Are the mirrors black? It's hard to tell. I've thought about wrapping mine glossy black, but I decided I'm not going to keep the car. Looks good, though.

Yeah it's black mirror. Everything 'shiny and chromy' is gone since it's a black optics package.
