The Universal Studios backlot was an amazing location for another display of air-cooled goodness. Also fun is trying to capture other people's reactions so threw in a few enhanced photos.

I know others were there as well so if you got photos, post 'em up!

      Here's part 1 of 4:

      Enhance!

      Such admiration.

      Gotta get that top view!

This chick wouldn't move. Screw it, I'm taking the shot.

      1981 Le Mans winner.

Was quite fond of this Super 90.

      Such aspirations.

      And then it started raining.

      Enhance!

      I've found a follower.

This guy just had a complete, window-out respray 2 days before the show! He wasn't too excited about the rain.

      Great backdrops.

Thanks for sharing Kiz. How was the Emory 356 RSR? Looking at all of the insta pics this weekend, it looks....awkward. At least the front view, I’m not sure what to think of it.

      Carolla hangin' out.

      Enhance! The DMV hates him.

Before I took this pic, there were about 10 people on the other side. This guy walks by me and asks, "want me to ask them to move?" Figured he was joking, told him "yeah, that'd be nice." Sure enough, he makes an announcement like I'm some kinda bigshot and everyone moves out of the way!

And then he gave me a thumbs up. Wait...

Of all the cars at the show, this 993 is the one that I'd want in my garage. It was perfect.

This Ruf wasn't so bad either.

This is why I stay late.

Not pictured are the twin turbos.

Some girl ran up to him and asked for a photo. He declined, saying he'd get in trouble. Am I in trouble now?

I also think it looks awkward. It had a lot of people around it but I don't know, didn't tickle my fancy. Which explains why I only took 1 pic of it.

Great pics! I'd take anything there but I'd especially take that ruby flatnose.

      Mechanically? Yes.

Aesthetically? Not as much, but I wouldn't say it's DIW.

Easily the best car pics thread so far this year. Amazing pics, amazing event! Pity I wasn't there.

I overheard people talking about him but didn't see him. I got there around noon so missed the first 2 hours, but apparently the line was really long at 10.

Thanks for sharing! Bummed I missed it. Last year was amazing, but this looked so much better given the backdrops.

      Thanks for sharing, great pics!

That's Jeff Zwart with the blue cap behind the car there, right? Saw him together with Patrick Long at Luftgekühlt here in Munich last September. Never got around to posting my photos, not even editing them.

I love the quality of the work, but it's a total butterface.

Thanks for uploading your photos. What a great show.

Amazing pictures, thank you for sharing—love the variety of shots.

The one that I keep seeing over and over and over again on IG is variations of this shot...

The line got absolutely insane around 10:30! Solid line of people from the buses and up around the street. Great photos! Still going through all of mine right now.
