Thread: 2005 GLI auto to 6 speed swap

In the middle of a 6 speed swap, I'm trying to figure out what waterpipe I need to replace for 02m trans in order to fit my shifter cable bracket. It looks like a hose from the coolant reservoir connects to the pipe under the intake mani, the pipe runs all the way back to the heater core hoses on the driver side. Can you guys help a first time swapper out?

The automatic transmission cooler is what you need to eliminate. Did you pull the automatic out yourself?

You need to eliminate those two hoses and get the manual style hose to replace it. Junkyard would be cheapest but finding them used may be difficult. Obviously the dealer is an option but expensive.
