Well, I never thought this day would come, but it is time to say good by to my beloved car.
This car is for the real petrol head! It is one of the most amazing engineering achievements in auto industry, it came from the period when Volkswagen still makes truly great cars, achievement of un-compromised, No cost restriction development, No cost cutting craftsmanship.
Now back to the car itself for the specs:
• 4.2 Liter V8 Engine, 335 bhp and 317 lbf (this is the famous Audi made 5 valves V8 Engine from 2004 annual Ward’s 10 Best Engine)
• 6 Speed ZF Transmission with Tiptronic shift, with true Torsen based permanent AWD
• Air Suspension, with height level adjustment and self-leveling, with ride comfort level adjustment
• All steel chassis with 37,000 nm/degree torsional rigidity, Aluminum alloy hood, truck and doors
• Duo Piston Front Brake 360 mm in diameter
• Full leather 18 way adjustable seats with memory function, with heat and ventilated front and back, and massage feature, again front and back, and remember this was back in 2004!
• Xenon headlights
• Built in GPS Navigation, 6 disc CD Player
• Electronic and manual rear cabin sunshade
• Duo batteries
• LED tail light and front signal turn light, and this was back in 2004!
• Drafless 4 zone Air conditioner system with automated vent
• Genuine walnut wood panel interior all around
Now let’s move onto the car’s history and maintenance: This car was originally from the US, last owner flew to California and drove it back. This car has been my passion for the past 8 years (garage kept since 2011), I have CarFax, CarProof AutoCheck and VINCheck and flood check Reports for it (Yes I have done lots of research before I bought it), it has clean record and full service history. I have only put on about close to 40000 KM on it since I own it. And I have full maintenance and repair history on this car since my ownership as I performed most of it. Major Highlights below
• New timing belt, water pump, thermostat, hydraulic tensioner and related roller and pulley
• New Front and rear brake pads and rotor, flushed brake fluid last year
• New coolant, power steering fluid
• New OEM battery
• Oil change every 5000 KMs, Castrol 5W-40 fully synthetic
• New Transmission fluid and filter
• New Rear differential fluid
• New central airbag control module
• New Xenon headlight bulb
• New Engine and cabin air filters
• New Spark Plugs
• New Fuel filter
• New Valve Cover gasket
• Sunroof drains cleaned
• Back up light bulb replaced
• Upgraded Intake linkages (GruvenParts Aluminum)
• Original full-sized spare still intact, 3 sets of keys (main, spare, & valet), owner's manual included, CD Navigation disks in original leather case, all "trunk tools" intact
I will be completely honest and up front with you: This car is not for everybody, if you have read this long and still with me, then you are probably interested enough. But you really should be very familiar with VW and Audi cars, not afraid to work on car yourself, be able to do your own maintenance and repair if necessary, do not count on general auto shop or even VW dealer to take care of this car, most of them not even heard of it, not to mention work on it. But if you are very familiar with the term “Vag-Com” or “VCDS”, and want a special unique car to keep, then we are talking…this car would be definitely for you. I thought I would be able to keep this car indefinitely, but life situation changes, and now it is time for me to say goodbye, but I want to find a good home for it.
The car has 195,000 KMs on the clock
Asking $10,500
I am in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada
