    Thread: Kjet - 16v 9a

This is a story going on eight years now, and I've pretty much given up on the car.

I have a MK1 Swallowtail Golf L - I bought it with a 3a and twin DHLA 40s, that motor died a horrible death and the carbs needed a lot of work so was sold on.

I picked up a 9a with k-jet a few years ago and we installed that, it seemed it was running fine until we welded the next exhaust system and mufflers on. Now it's been sitting a couple of years, I haven't tried to start it in a while, but the previous results were it would run for a bit very richly then eventually splutter and die, and would also die if you rev'd it.

We have unfortunately fiddled with the kjet tuning and I don't believe the o2 sensor is plugged in anywhere.
(Is there a way to get KJet back to "factory"?)

Where could I start at diagnosing the issue? I'm happy to supply photos/videos/whatever. I'd just rather not see the car sit any longer.

      Thanks a lot,
      Dorian.

So put the old exhaust back on if you still have it of course.
