Disclaimer: I don't have Amazon Prime, BUT if there are great deals, especially car parts/stuff I'd seriously consider it.

      So, what's everyone getting?

Nothing. I stand in solidarity with the warehouse workers of Amazon and will not be supporting the company this week.
sometimes I feel like I'm the only R driver who doesn't think his car is anything more than what it is -- an expensive hatchback.

I snagged an el-cheapo SunJoe pressure washer and their foam gun, as well as some assorted garden hose accessories so make life easier. Otherwise, I probably won't even bother looking at anything else.

      I agree.

However, I do buy gift cards as iTunes has 20% off and you get credited money buying Amazon ones. Free money. Delivery by email so no extra work for the warehouse.

I want to fire Amazon prime and save the $120. BTW, my cousin in Germany only pays 70 Euros or $79 for Prime.

Agree. It’s a gimmick unless you want to buy their branded electronics.

I did score the "factory" oil for our subie and Wallyworld has a good deal on Mobil 1 for those who are partial to it-their response to Prime Day. I was hoping for a deal on Castrol but it's not in the right weight for the R.

Right..not in all cases but in many cases, it's been shown that even 3rd party sellers on Amazon that use amazon for fulfillment will have their items marked up outside of their control a day before Prime day so Amazon can lower the price on prime day to show "40% off" https://www.dailydot.com/debug/amazo...-day-remodeez/ and I feel bad for all of the employees today breaking their back to make this work for Bezos who is the richest person on earth. I'm not against Amazon but I do regularly take the buck for "no rush shipping" if it's something I don't need ASAP like a quart of oil or Rain-X.

You do realize this doesn't help the floor workers at all, it just saves Amazon shipping cost, right?

You'll have to explain that to me. do you work at amazon or have an article to back this up? The primary issue publicly with Amazon Fulfillment centers is the 1 and 2 day shipping especially during Prime day that is truly back-breaking work. By extending the window to 5 days, it would be logical that this would now be moved away from the SLA that exists to pack up the order and get it out by 4PM for ground overnight from the nearest center. I am not saying an employee has 5 days to pack my order but if it misses a shipping window, amazon won't owe me money since no rush shipping has no guarantee like prime shipping.
