    Thread: Good BOV?

Looking for a better blow off valve, I currently am running a HKS SSQV3 and it doesn’t like to seal completely to the inlet pipe causing a loss of boost. Currently have a Garrett GT2871R turbo 3” inlet piping, nuspeed intake and ton of other stuff just way too much to list. Any help?

Forge DV. Forget a BOV. These engines aren't designed to run those.

Forge DVs are solid. I've been running a 007 for probably 5 or 6 years now.

Have you ever had an issue with a CEL regarding your recirculation or PCV? I had a 007 in my mk5 gti a while back, kept throwing a code each time after installation (within 2 weeks). I would take the 007, clear the code and it wouldn't come back. Decided with that car just to stay OEM.

I go into limp mode on a very rare occasion and it points to the DV, but its very inconsistent and I've kept it lubed up and running properly. No leaks (done a smoke test). No PCV issues, but I've done the silicone hose kit from 034. I would have zero hesitation to put in another one.
