I've been playing around with the online configurator. I could easily see myself in a basic DEFENDER 110 P300 AWD AUTOMATIC with a few very carefully selected options. The price climbs very quickly when you try to turn a Defender into a Range Rover. I prefer mine more utilitarian.
I think overall it looks good, but it’s got an early 2000’s retro vibe. I’m actually really surprised at the starting price, maybe I’m just used to classic Defender prices.
I think it will sell like hot cakes in the target demographics. A half priced G-Wagon?
Anyway, what in holy hell happened with this C pillar on the 110? This just looks like someone was drunk with the way you see the rounded black reveal on the glass. And it doesn’t go all the way to the top or the bottom.

That center bench seat is bonkers.
I’m also noticing a body color panel on the two door models in the middle of the glass. I really hope that is optional, why would you otherwise block the rear passengers view.
I do like this type de-contenting from a luxury brand though.
Super cool. This will be a hit here in the U.S.
I configured mine for $60k, the way I'd probably get one.
I got the base model with the 296hp 4-cylinder engine and 18" white steel wheels.
Gondwana Stone exterior color ($710)
Explorer Pack ($4,287) - includes mudflaps, black hood decal, spare wheel cover, wheel arch protection, raised air intake, roof rack, side-mounted gear carrier
Off-road pack ($1,345) - includes all-terrain tires
Black contrast roof ($870)
Rough-cut walnut veneer ($600)
White powder coat brushed finish interior trim ($200)
Cold climate pack ($700)
Tow hitch receiver ($650)
About $10k more than the way I'd spec a Wrangler UL Rubicon, but for that different you get some additional tech, refinement and the Land Rover badge.
Selling the Cummins TJ to import an old defender 110 has been tempting (actually there is a guy local who has some for sale in the US already).
I'm at 56k white with black roof on steelies with just off road pack and some light accessories cold weather/heated seats the stuff you can't easily add. That's not bad at all and despite not having the money for that at the moment a lot more tempting than the imported 110.
I think they did a great job.
I love pretty much everything about it, especially the fact they didn't put a Range Rover interior in it and it's still very utilitarian.
I also think it's great that you can get full body panels past the C pillar instead of the requisite rear window.
This thing is great. They will move off of lots with great speed.
The "Off-road Pack" ($1350) is really the only one that's needed to increase capability since it includes the rear diff lock. The snorkel and some of the other add-ons can always be installed at a later date.
Got mine to $80k.
V6 is mandatory IMO.
