I miss my old Scion TC. Supercharged, full suspension, decent stereo, custom paint, added leather interior.... etc.. never should have sold it.

I can't live with regret, so I still have my 1997 GTI that i purchased in May of 1999. It is also my first car.

Why did I open a thread to a dozen pictures of a riced out Scion?

2008 Jetta Wolfsburg which was my first car. Got it as a gift at 16 and kept it nearly perfect until my license got revoked due to speeding tickets. I didn't want the car sitting outside (no garage at my apartment) so I sold it to my best friend for $1500. He's like a brother to me so I have him a good deal also knowing that it needed a few things. He proceeded to neglect it and blew the engine because he waited wayyyyy too long to change the oil. I forgave him of course because he's a great dude but man did it hurt when he called me and broke the news. I wish I waited a few months, put it back on the road and kept modifying it. I have a '17 GLI now and it's just not the same. He now drives a Scion iM and we rip on him constantly about oil changes.

Here's how she sat when I owned her:

Here's how she looked before we donated her:

My 89 GTI 16v. Originally a 1.8 16v, I swapped in a 2.0 block, CBR 900 RR carbs, decked head with 3 angle valve job, autotech cams, Eurosport header, TT exhaust, Girling 60 calipers and Corrado 11" rotors.

I would love to have a second chance at that car. It was truly a street legal go kart. I couldn't afford to keep it when I first got my M5, but I have missed it since. The M5 is a better car in every way, but they are still different tools for different jobs. Every time I drive the tail of the dragon, I can't help but think what it would be like to do it in the GTI.

it's funny, it's not the M5 or the 911 - it's this little guy. I miss this car the most.

      Awesome car.

And great caveat about the Fram.

The nice thing about these is you can still find them fairly clean for very little $$. Always loved this generation Saab as well and one saved my life once.

Had to get out ahead of that one, didn't bring my flamesuit today

I really wish a nice 16v motor would fall in my lap. Would love to do it again

Never sold a car I truly enjoyed. I really liked my mk5 gti, but i have no regrets in letting it go.

For me its my 2004 330ci that had an SMG transmission (not the same unit in the M3). That car was just a pleasure to drive, but I had to let it go for something newer that could handle the driving I would be doing. If i could walk into BMW and buy a factory new E46 I would.

Yep - I would regret that. Any 16V on ITBs.

My 2004 Neon R/T is one that got away for me. I traded it in for a Mk4 GTI like a big, dumb idiot.

I don't know how to hotlink photos from Cardomain, so click to see it, I guess.

Or is it my '60 Microbus? Wait... It's my '75 2002!

But the reality is it was too perfect to drive around without fear of messing it up and looking after black paint is a nightmare.

Damn - did it actually have Alpina bits? Those seats are legit.
