I love the look of cars or vehicles towing other cars, bikes, boats, campers, equipment, and even cool junk. There is something about an interesting vehicle being made to work that is just awesome. Yeah, that's a real car! You can understand a lot about a person from what they tow with and what they're pulling.

I'll throw my personal combo in, I finally bought a Monster last weekend and it looked so right being towed by the lowered Outback. I lust after an Airstream behind a mid-century wagon, love the look of a heap being towed for restoration, always stared at the pics of the old racing transports, and who doesn't love to see a caged Jeep being towed home Sunday covered in muck?

Show me your best towing pics and keep on trucking!

      Funny this post came up.

Was passed by a loud 911 today which was towing a good sized trailer that had 4 race wheel/tires on it.

Very timely thread as I have been exploring the idea of selling the Frontier for a late model sedan and getting a cool old truck to tow my car trailer and pick up the slack around the house that I otherwise use the Frontier for.

The two very intriguing candidates that I've found are both 2WD mid-80s trucks for $3k or less:

1987 Chevy C10 - 350/SM465 (yes, a 4-speed!) in Silverado trim. Looks to be relatively rust-free. Makes up for the loss of my '80 LS-swapped Sierra that I regret selling (detailed in the other thread). Being a 1987 it's fuel injected - and I KNOW it's technically a "Chevy R10" - so the groundwork is already laid for another repeat of my 5.3L swap, which I still have a spare harness for.

1986 F250 6.9 diesel - the OG International diesel in all of its delectable brown on brown on brown 80s goodness. It ain't no Powerjoke, but I love the sound of the IDI, and they can still pull some weight. Would definitely be a better hauler than the C10, but has more quirks about it, plus being an old diesel it definitely doesn't have the fix-all ability of the oil-covered 350 that's in the '87 C10. Plus, no big power-adders for the 6.9, the best I could probably do is a 7.3 IDI swap, which is a lot of work and cost for not a lot of power gains.

The seller sucks at taking pictures - there aren't any showing the entire truck

I modified a Kia Soul hitch since nobody will sell one for the M5 in the states.

A few years ago I saw a big custom bike towing a boat larger than I thought possible. Taller than the guy on the bike, at least 20 feet long.

Pic related, but the boat was bigger.
