Seems that fca products have the same rep though. I just made my head explode with the risk I put myself through!

i just moved it...a buddy of mine actually bought it. His garage is starting to look like a early 90's VW dealer, he's got 2 1991 Mk2's - a GTI and GLI.

It could be mine though, if I could come up with the $$ he wants for it (and if I finished my other cars)

Cool, I was just going to ask where you were going with yours. I was taking mine to get some minor updates to the supercharger system and seat bracket work. While I'm there a couple of other small mechanical things (like replacing the bushings on the beam axle) will also be replaced. The car has been sitting at 82,xxx miles for quite a long time. Looking fwd to being able to put some miles on it.

      Trip report:

I’m at the McDonald’s in Fond Du Loc, WI, overlooking the Mercury Marine plant. Or I would be overlooking it if it wasn’t pitch black outside. I just ate a 4-piece chicken tender meal. I refilled my water bottle (one of those S’Well things that look like an old Come bottle) with water and ice and a local thought I was chugging booze. Car is running great. Tires are doing great. I am actually not uncomfortable. Car is packed to the gills with firearms and clothes. There is a 400lb woman with a giant mole staring at me as I type this. 3 hours to go. I’m going to pee and try not to get raped.

Update: urinal nearly overflowed and spilled piss all over my Merrills. 1/10 do not recommend. WI has ethanol free premium, which is awesome. It’s like 12* and icy here.

Jeez. You choose wisely for tires, glad you're on the winters.

      Roads were a tad icy:

Left it outside over night, got some snow (this after most of it melted off)

When I went to put it away this afternoon, I could barely get it into first and I couldn’t get it into reverse at all with the engine running. Somehow it sprung a leak somewhere, master/slave cylinder or between. So I guess I’ll be replacing one or both before spring time. Glad it happened parked in the garage, not while at (redacted triple digit speed) while on the way up here (ps I saw over 115)

Wouldn't the best time to have it fixed be over the winter while you're not using it?

How much do you actually drive it?
Sell it to me and it will get driven year round.
