I believe the next gen model will consolidate the SL and S cabriolet into a single model line, with small rear seats.

You like it?, good. Your opinion is your opinion.

I spent an hour in BMW showroom, and this thing was sitting like an eyesore in front of my chair. I didn't move to another chair, but I wanted to. It was in matte grey. It's too big and there's no flow in its design. Like a Frankenstein of BMW parts/design cues.

I'd take any old 8 over this all day, every day.

i'm not a fan of the 8 either. it's too soft where it's soft, and not sharp enough where it's sharp, imo.
      signatures are annoying, right?

You can just say you don't like it. No need for the hyperbole to project a false sense of authority.

I contend this thing looks like a Rustang and I stand by that assertion.

      1. Didn't Dodge already use the "monsters exist" thing to advertise the Challenger/Charger Hellcats?

      2. The proportions of this car are wrong

      3. Why the hell couldn't BMW figure out how to make this car without a B pillar? That would have been cool, maybe they aren't as smart as Mercedes.

In some instances it's already cut into enough of a spot that you could almost air it as is. In other cases it's just the raw footage.

In the case of this spot we used the raw footage and assembled it in the order we wanted and put a music track and SFX against it and then supers (titles) over top where needed.

It's mixed for theatres so it sounds great when seen there.
So how long did it take this "team" of talented professionals to say "lets add some intense music, and some verbiage" on stock b roll?

No hyperbole here, the 8 looks like a cynical blob.

The stang actually looks better because it's a bit more chiseled.

It doesn't work. Nothing about it works. Not a single flattering angle. Changing bumpers won't help.

The shapes are all wrong, the details make little sense and it is just completely sterile.

BMW fell flat on its face with this one.

I'm sure they will sell a few.
You should apply for BMW's design team.

I did. They rejected. Said my sketches weren't nearly ugly enough.
