My Solisto system described in the two links below, is playing up. The problem is only the cable, but I can't get a response from Solisto for a replacement.

Do forum members have any alternative recommendations or improvements for connecting my iphone to my 2006 Phaeton?

Dension Gateway Lite, make sure you get the correct loom for the year. It's a lot cheaper than the Solisto.

Thanks, Invis. Nice to hear from you.

The UK website does not list the Phaeton:

      https://www.dension.co.uk/lite-and-lite-bt

Do you or does anyone know the reference for the correct loom for a April 2006 Phaeton?

I also see that under accessories there is a lightning adaptor:

      https://www.dension.co.uk/accessorie...r-gateway.html

Do you or does anyone know if that will work with my Solisto? The LIA connecting plug looks identical. This could save me changing the Solisto, as it is only the Solisto to Iphone cable that is defective.

... additionally do you or does anyone know if:

      - The Bluetooth ('BT') version would work cable free in my Phaeton

      - Whether the current version of Tomtom GO navigation for Iphone works through the Dension Lite?

Check the year before you buy.

I've said elsewhere before, but I'll say again - I bought a Pure Highway 600 and am really pleased with it. It gives me DAB, bluetooth for calls and A2DP audio, with the controller to swap tracks etc, it just doesn't go through the steering wheel. I got mine going through the built-in FM transmitter which was easy and convenient, but there is a 3.5mm jack which I intend to wire in place of the CD changer at some stage for better audio quality. They can be had on ebay for even cheaper than the Dension stuff.

All the FM transmitter options I tried were horrible, that's why I ended up with the Dension which plugs straight in to the CD player connection.

Yes generally FM transmitters aren't great, but the Pure Highway does both FM and 3.5mm jack to plug into the CD connection directly. I like the Dension but I quite like having DAB as well.

I’ve got something in my basement I bought a long time ago to plug into my Phaeton but never have. I’ll take a look tomorrow.
