Thread: Donut Media host James P. survives heart attack

    1. 11-07-2019 02:51 PM #1
For any who watch youtube car content, Kinda scary as hes only 34 years old
      courtesy of tiremeetsroad.com

Some of Donut Media’s most popular uploads like “Everything you need to know” and “Bumper 2 Bumper” might be on hiatus just for a bit as their EIC and main host James Pumphrey recovers from a heart attack he’s saying lasted twelve hours. James took to Instagram earlier today to ensure fans he’s OK, will take some time off, and is taking this opportunity as a second chance at a better self.

Wish him a quick full recovery!

He hops on here from time to time as well. Seems like one of the most down to earth and awesome dudes around. I hope he recovers quickly and comes out better than ever.

Holy crap James! Get well soon! And yeah...He's...always sweating and yelling, so i think it might be a good idea for a lifestyle change.

      I love you.

Scary. A dad in my son's class died of a heart attack in his 30's not too long ago.

You don't hear about it that often.

Glad he avoided "hearse"-prs and will be back up-to-speed.

I'm guessing that sponsorship from NOS didn't help his heart any.

I don't know the guy, but 34? Damn. I hope they have a handle on it and he can successfully make a positive change to prevent another.

Yeah. Saw the IG post a few days ago. Couldn't believe it.

He willingly admits to eating like isht and not exercising but coupling that with genetics against him, it's not a good outcome. Glad he survived and realises a few changes are in order. I only recently found Donut Media but was surprised how entertaining and thorough their segments are. I've come to really like the stuff they put out.

Maybe a name change is in order... something like Yoga or Crossfit Media.

I'm surprised he knew about the genetic issues since his dad left years ago to get a pack of cigarettes and never came home.

Glad to hear he's alright. A month ago I couldn't have told you who he was, until a coworker and I stumbled onto his Viper video. We watched several of the videos after that. Great stuff!

Wonder if they'll drop the NOS drink sponsorship? Having to go ten tents every episode probably doesn't help him

That's rough, I'm glad he made it through.

NOS energy drink = lightning, lightning, and heart attack. Now back to the show. Get well soon, I enjoy the content.

      I'm a fellow husky 28 year old.

Holy crap I should take care too, but do exercise sparingly and try to eat good.

Millennials have a lot of health issues I'm starting to notice.

Count me in as another husky millennial (30 here). Definitely realizing that I gotta work on **** as I get older due to stuff like this and generally not liking the beer gut. Started learning how to skate a week or so ago, been attempting to stick with a healthy meal prep for a while now with mixed results. Going to try and get back into the gym, as clueless as I am there.

I'm noticing the health issues too and I wonder if it's due to our lifestyle changes compared to older generations - more of us have desk jobs where we're sitting a lot and then when we get home we sit some more.

My lower back muscles shouldn't get sore from standing for a bit like they do and I almost certainly can blame sitting for that. Been thinking about a standing desk deal for a while now and might pull the trigger on one, at least at home.

Glorification of the "dad bod" may have something to do with it.

This also hits close to home for me as I'll be 35 next week, and unfortunately my cholesterol levels are sky high.

A total wake-up call for me nonetheless, even with life insurance.
