That A3 does look pretty clean. Glad he found something.

That's wacky about the GTI price.

As someone that buys and sells things often, I've definitely encountered weird behavior like that before. This is pure speculation as it relates to this situation, but sometimes people do strange things like that when they don't actually want to sell. Could be someone else wants the car gone, they have internal conflict over it, etc., and panicked when selling became real.

Your friend did the right thing and just moved on.

The listing says it has a lien on it as well; we were guessing that she discovered the payoff was more than she thought. Also says she's just testing the waters so maybe she got enough interest at $11.5 she felt she could get more for it. Who knows! Not our problem anymore

My sister had an A3 like that, I drove all over Germany in an A3 like that, and I owned a MK6 GTI which is the same mechanically. Just a great, reliable, and very practical car that's nice to live with long term. Bonus is that the car purchased itt has the S-Line package which makes it a bit sportier. Good purchase.

I find it weird that it has the S-Line package but apparently no Bluetooth? That was standard on all the VWs by 2013. Perhaps there's a dead Bluetooth module in this one?

Just looked up the 2013 A3 order guide. Bluetooth standard only on the Premium Plus, not the Premium. $600 option otherwise. Oh, Audi, never change.

Thanks for checking into it, this is (supposed to be) a Premium Plus. I think I read that it was Bluetooth for phone calls only, not streaming music... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As much as I'm done with Audi, I'd take it over that Mini.

And yet Bluetooth came standard on my 2011 GTI.

Audi was very stingy with the Bluetooth during that period for some reason.

He's really happy with it. It's a very nice car. Only complaints so far is the lack of Bluetooth (although it looks like there's an iPod 30-pin cable that you can connect to a Bluetooth module? It's fairly confusing)
      Cheers
There is a product called tune2air which makes an adapter that you connect to the 30 pin ipod adapter which will allow Bluetooth streaming. I had one in my old S4 and it worked great albeit it's only for music.

Awesome! Looks like there might be a connector in the glove box this would connect to, I'll have to mention this to him tonight. Thank you
